"The Hot Chocolate and the Sandwich are two strong metaphors in this portion. One he loves and the other he hates. But Jamie slaps away the beloved hot chocolate in a fit of rage and regrets, even says that he doesn't deserve another cup of it. On the other hand, it's again a fit of rage that makes him take a bite of the sandwich that he hated. These are both signs of extreme toxic masculinity and manipulation. What is loved is mistreated, and all the regret later can't fix it. And there's a pretence of trying what he hates, just to win the favour of someone or to impress them.

This portion of the movie is deeper than anyone can imagine.

And the kid did a fabulous job at performing it."
