ومن المشاكل ايضا ، العوامل التي تُقصّر من عمر حياة الكريات الحمراء وتصفيتها من الدورة الدموية ، كخلل في غشائها ونحوه، وهو ما يؤدي إلى عدم دخول قيمة سكر هذه الخلايا ضمن النتيجة ، وهي المطلوب قياسها و يتم دخول خلايا جديدة عوضا عنها تحتوي ع الـ labile HBA1c و الذي لا يدخل من ضمن القياس.

test for diabetes provided that stringent quality assurance tests are in place and assays are standardised to criteria aligned to the international reference values, and there are no conditions present which preclude its accurate
measurement.
