أودى حادث الترامواي بحياة إردوان مورانكيتش (23 عامًا)، وأصاب أربعة آخرين — فقدت إحدى الفتيات ساقها.

تقول نيابة كانتون سراييفو إن النتائج الأولية تشير إلى أن الخطأ البشري من جانب السائق هو السبب الرئيسي.

لكن السائق — بدعم من بعض المواطنين — يؤكد أن الترامواي تسارع فجأة وأصبح من المستحيل إيقافه، ما يشير إلى احتمال وجود عطل تقني.

🚨 Political fallout after the Sarajevo tram tragedy

Following mass protests by young people over the tragic death of Erdoan Morankić and the severe injury of a young girl, the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, has officially resigned from his position.

Uk announced his resignation amid growing public pressure and demands for accountability after the fatal tram accident that shook the city.

Meanwhile, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo (Kantonalni sud u Sarajevu) has rejected a request to impose one-month detention on tram driver Adnan Kasapović, who was operating the vehicle at the time of the deadly crash.

Under Bosnian law, the resignation of the Prime Minister automatically results in the fall of the entire Government of Sarajevo Canton. Although individual ministers did not submit resignations, the departure of the head of the executive branch legally dissolves the full cabinet.

Sarajevo now enters a new phase of political uncertainty as investigations and public pressure continue.

في أعقاب الاحتجاجات الواسعة التي خرج فيها الشباب بسبب الوفاة المأساوية لإردوان مورانكيتش والإصابة الخطيرة لفتاة شابة، أعلن رئيس وزراء كانتون سراييفو، نهاد أوك، استقالته رسميًا من منصبه.

وأوضح أوك أنه قدّم استقالته في ظل تصاعد الضغط الشعبي والمطالب بتحمّل المسؤولية بعد حادث الترام القاتل الذي هزّ المدينة.

وفي الوقت نفسه، رفضت المحكمة الكانتونية في سراييفو (Kantonalni sud u Sarajevu) طلبًا بفرض الحبس الاحتياطي لمدة شهر على سائق الترام عدنان كسابوفيتش، الذي كان يقود المركبة وقت وقوع الحادث المميت.

وبموجب القانون في البوسنة، فإن استقالة رئيس الوزراء تؤدي تلقائيًا إلى سقوط كامل حكومة كانتون سراييفو. ورغم أن الوزراء لم يقدّموا استقالاتهم بشكل فردي، فإن مغادرة رئيس السلطة التنفيذية تؤدي قانونيًا إلى حلّ الحكومة بأكملها.

وتدخل سراييفو الآن مرحلة جديدة من عدم اليقين السياسي، في وقت تتواصل فيه التحقيقات ويتصاعد الضغط الشعبي.

Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that they had followed with outrage the horrific war crimes taking place in Gaza over the past years and had raised their voice at the United Nations against the genocide of the Palestinian people.

They emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to closely monitor Palestinian-Israeli relations, particularly the extremely difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

It was also officially conveyed to Ambassador Kharoof that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently adopted a decision to deploy a unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of international efforts to provide humanitarian assistance, for which special gratitude was expressed.

كما تم إبلاغ السفيرة خروف رسميًا بأن رئاسة البوسنة والهرسك اتخذت مؤخرًا قرارًا بإرسال وحدة من القوات المسلحة للبوسنة والهرسك في إطار الجهود الدولية لتقديم المساعدة الإنسانية، وقد تم التعبير عن امتنان خاص لذلك.
