The purple lines are the 8 outputs of the shift register. You can see the "1" bit rippling across all 8 pins. As you can see, there's plenty of "ringing" on these signals, which is not surprising, given that it's a bus running at 8 MHz (and it was all set up on a breadboard using jumper wires). Setting these 8 bits takes just 2 µS!
