🇨🇳 Two human cases of H596 Bird Flu have been announced in Henan province China. A virus with a fatality rate around 50% but not know to spread from human to human, only avian to human cases have been recorded. Despite this, they apparently also already have a vaccine for this virus.

As scary as that sounds, it is most likely far too deadly to spread. But might this explain some of the hardcore lockdowns happening in Shanghai and other Chinese cities over the last weeks?
