49 Years, multiple presidencies, simultaneous control of the House & Senate, yet Democrats never codified Roe, which would mean passing it in the House and Senate before a President signs it into federal law.
The Democrats can’t do this now under Biden even as they have a majority in both houses of Congress, legislation to protect abortion would need 60 votes in the Senate to overcome the possibility of a filibuster, something that the Democrats have had multiple opportunities to abolish.
The Democrats’ “decision” to not abolish the filibuster is a way to ensure that abortion rights remain vulnerable, so that they can be used as fodder to “get out the vote” for Democrats.
It’s all theatre… 🎭
