Will chrome dropping adblockers drive more users to Brave browser?

It's also a big deal for a very different, and for many Chrome users much more practical, reason: As TechRadar explains, the loss of Manifest V2 means that the ad blockers many Chrome users have grown used to having around will no longer work.

Manifest V3 deprecates a particular API that current ad blockers use to do their thing, and there's debate over whether new ad blockers can or will be built using the new Manifest V3 specification.

Even if Google does kill off ad blockers as we know them in Chrome, extension devs will likely find workarounds to keep avoiding ads.

The Era of Cash Is Ending

What cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have shown us is that there are technological pathways for central banks to be able to issue digital versions of their own currency in a relatively secure form and in a form that makes digital payments broadly available and accessible to the masses.

A more sophisticated version of a central bank digital currency is where, in effect, each one of us has an account with the central bank, perhaps in tandem with a digital wallet that we can use to transact using digital versions of the currency.

PRASAD: The proliferation of central bank digital currencies and even cryptocurrencies does not really pose much of a threat to the major global currencies.

NTFs are a money laundering scheme for rich people, says crypto analyst Mr Whale

A work of art by Banksy was even burned and turned into an NFT. Apparently, people open their pockets to invest in art to buy an original, digital version of it, something they could have simply downloaded or captured.

Popular crypto-actives analyst Mr. Whale has argued that NFTs are simply a way for the rich to move illegally obtained money through a channel that makes it look legal.

Whale pointed out that the subjectivity of art is what makes it so easy to move money through NFTs. While one person may think a work of art is horrible, another may think it is the most beautiful piece ever made.

In Tonga, MP Lord Fusitu'a is drafting a bill to make Bitcoin a legal tender in the Pacific nation, like what was done in El Salvador last month.

The hereditary lord's bitcoin project based on El Salvador's crypto gamble remains little more than a dream for now, but he is confident he can overcome potential opposition from Tonga's central bank, executive branch, or other MPs. The Governor of the Reserve Bank of Tonga, Sione Ngongo Kioa, said the bank had no plans to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender alongside the Tongan pa'anga.

"Our current king was the prime minister in the early 2000s when the World Bank's austerity measures imposed on us for the loans included cutting public servants' wages, which we did, but in 2006 it caused the only riots in our country's history, so our king has seen how the IMF and World Bank gutted our economy and society previously," he says.

The country's only two commercial banks are ANZ and Bank of the South Pacific.
