Wakefield Police are playing the "delay game".
First, they said that the "investigating officer" will not be back in the office "until Friday".
No bail can be varied, nor property returned, until the investigation officer authorises it.
So we waited patiently until Friday.
Friday has arrived, and now we are told by Wakefield Police that the real "investigating officer" will not be back in the office until Tuesday, and that the officer we waited for until today was in fact just "covering" for the real investigating officer.
When Tuesday arrives, the real investigating officer will simply say NO, and it will leave us two days until the election to take the matter to court.
Does anyone get the impression that the police are trying to delay taking any action until after the election has passed? 😡

Regardless of the delaying actions of the police, Paul will be in court at 2pm today via video link.
The case is being heard at Leeds Magistrates Court.
Paul will update everyone immediately when the judge makes his decision.
The case is being heard in front of a district judge, not a panel of magistrates.
The question the judge will be asked is: Is the bail condition imposed on Paul by Wakefield Police fair and reasonable?
We will argue that it is not, and must be amended 💪

Paul Golding is asking for his bail condition to be scrapped or amended.

There is a typical delay to the start of the hearing 😤

Paul has been told that the hearing won’t start for another 20 minutes at least 😡🥵

Paul is still waiting for the hearing to start. Apparently the court is still waiting for the police officers on the case to arrive 😡

The delay has been caused because the court is waiting for the arrival of a Detective Inspector, the most senior rank in the Criminal Investigation Department! They are bringing out the big guns to deal with Paul 😡

🥳 VICTORY 🥳

The judge has overturned the police imposed bail condition.
Paul is now free to return to Wakefield with immediate effect!

Paul cannot do anything about the return of his property (minibus and mobile phone) until Tuesday.
If the police refuse to hand them back, we will immediately launch another legal action and they can face a judge, again.
Paul will NOT be pushed around or abused by the police authorities.
Paul has defeated the Electoral Commission and the police many times in court.
Today was a good example.
Paul comes from a rough south east London council estate, with no formal education, but he is a formidable opponent for the Police State.
Paul is only 40 years old, but he has 23 years of political experience under his belt.
