The Orca is named “killer whale” because it is the top ocean predator and they were originally called “whale killers”, but that got flipped over time.

The great white shark is called great because of it’s size and because their undersides are white. The term “great” in this instance refers to it's size.

Plus, the Orca is black AND white.
