A gang of migrants were jailed at the weekend for this vicious unprovoked attack on a grandfather in Newcastle.

During the attack they hit him with a bottle, slashed him and stamped on him leaving him fearing for his life.

He was left with permanent scarring, nerve damage and psychological problems, prison staff were also attacked while they were on remand.
