BREXIT DAY
Around 14 months ago I was sat in my mother's living room watching the news whilst hearing my mother shout at the TV in frustration at Parliaments attempts to block Brexit. Over the previous 18 months myself and my family had become enraged at the way treacherous politicians were trying to subvert the will of the British people. We voters had been labelled uneducated, bigoted, xenophobic, racist little Englanders for simply exercising our right vote. What infuriated me most was that voting was the only tool I had to have a say in what political change I wanted to see in my country. I not only vote for myself, I vote for my little boy. So to have MPs who were elected on a mandate to honour and implement the referendum results then revert back to being the self-serving hypocrites that they are made me want to do more. And that is what I did.
Brexit was the sole reason I got involved in political activism, I had to defend democracy.
Today, I am overjoyed that Britain will once again be free from the shackles of the failing European dictatorship.
My grandparents never wanted to join the European Union and they often told my mother of what they thought the European union would become and they were right.
I only wish my grandparents were here today to celebrate and see that their daughters and grandchildren all voted to LEAVE.
