On This Day in 1993 the IRA murdered Lawrence Dickson, 26. Married father of one, The Soldier from Iverness was shot outside Forkhill. His daughter was 18 months old. In ‘94 his widow returned to her native Germany but said she planned to go to Scotland twice a year to visit his grave.

Private Daniel Stephen Prior, aged 27 from Peacehaven, and 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment, died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham from wounds sustained in an IED blast 2 days earlier in Char Coucha village, Afghanistan

Lest we Forget this brave man 🇬🇧

Daniel died the same age as his uncle,Corporal Stephen Prior, who was killed at Goose Green in The Falklands War, whilst also saving a colleague's life.
Stephen was in the same Parachute Regiment
