This is my great grandad on my mother's side. This extraordinary man fought in world war 1 where he was wounded twice by shrapnel in the head, he was also shot in the head by what he joked was the worst gunman in Germany for not making it a fatal shot. My great grandad survived those horrific injuries to go on to India where he was based for some time there he caught malaria once again he survived and lived into his 90's. He was a story teller and a true gentleman and through his own sacrifices and stories he passed down he created a family that's to this day still eternally grateful for all those that fought for our safety and our freedoms. Britain is built on strength and patriotism it's our duty to preserve those traditional values for our future generations. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
