The developers of the DeFi project Luna Yield stole $ 8 million from investors

DeFi protocol Luna Yield, powered by Solana blockchain, suddenly stopped working a few days after launch. The website and social networks of the project are disabled, its developers have withdrawn about $ 8 million from the protocol.

The Luna Yield team ran an IDO on the SolPAD platform on Monday 16 August. Already on Friday, the site announced that the project had closed social networks and a website, and anonymous developers withdrew all liquidity from the protocol.

Vine Co-Founder Announces Blockchain Console With NFT Instead Of Game Cartridges

Vine mobile app co-founder Dom Hofmann announced the Supdrive blockchain console, which uses non-fungible tokens (NFT) as virtual cartridges for games.

On the project's Discord, Hofmann revealed that Supdrive is focused on "old-school arcade video games" like Galaga, Pacman and Asteroid. The launch of the blockchain console is scheduled for October 2021.

USDC to consolidate reserves into cash and US treasuries

Coinbase president and COO, Emilie Choi, has announced that the reserves backing the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC) will be consolidated into cash and U.S. government treasuries.

An Aug. 22 blog post from CENTRE Consortium, the entity that was collaboratively established by top U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase and blockchain financial services company Circle that issues USDC, stated that USD Coin’s reserves will soon be entirely held in “cash and short duration U.S. Treasuries.”

📈The number of BTC and ETH addresses with relatively small holdings has been rising throughout 2021. The total number of BTC addresses holding between 0.001 and 0.1 bitcoin has increased ~15% so far in 2021 but has been somewhat flat since the end of April. The number of ETH addresses holding 0.01 to 1 ETH is up ~58% YTD and has continued to steadily increase throughout the summer. With NFT summer raging on Ethereum, it is possible that retail interest in NFTs is helping Ethereum adopt new users.

NFT innovator HODL Assets acquires blockchain social commerce firm CoinLinked

HODL Assets, a nonfungible token (NFT) aggregator platform, has announced the acquisition of blockchain-based social network and commerce platform CoinLinked.

According to a release issued on Wednesday, Wall Street veteran and CoinLinked founder Jenny Ta will also join the HODL Assets team as chief operating officer.
