Probing a scope with itself. The second channel was bad, first picture is supposed to be a square wave. Turns out, it's just the AC-Ground-DC switch that's bad

Probing this: it extracts the V and H sync pulses from the composite signal.
So despite what the label says, I think the actual CRT unit is not TTL but just luma, H and V syncs. To make it TTL a different board like this would be required.
