CRT technology is so incredibly cool and fascinating to me. On the surface, the physics is high school level easy, but tons of engineering went into it to get it to where it was at its peak.
Been asked to look at a few signals here and there, as a comparison to help someone fix theirs.
When I got this Atari only one bank of 512k RAM was working. It has the infamous MT made RAM ICs that are known to be problematic. And indeed, two were bad. At that time I only had one replacement IC. Now, thanks to some recent bulk acquisitions of D-RAM ICs I have plenty of spare parts.
