The Supreme Court has demanded a report from the Modi government on the actions taken following the Constitution Bench’s decision, which approved the creation of quotas within quotas for SC and ST reservations.
The Court also insisted on implementing a creamy layer within SC and ST reservations so that actual needy and poor people can get the benefits of reservation.
It is important to note that the Modi Government is against the creamy layer system for ST/SC.
