🇺🇸 🇲🇵 US steps up airfield construction on Tinian

Concern about Guam’s vulnerability to a missile attack from China or North Korea may have prompted backup effort

The US has initiated major construction on Tinian, ostensibly to serve as a backup facility should its naval and air facilities on nearby Guam be put out of action for any reason. Growing concerns about Guam’s vulnerability to a missile attack from China or North Korea may have prompted this significant construction effort.

Thus, in the event of a great power conflict between the US and China in the Pacific, Tinian and its sister islands Guam and Saipan will undoubtedly play a central role in US operations.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka LOCKDOWN - Private Fuel Banned

Sri Lanka’s crisis lurched from bad to worse Monday as the government instructed citizens to stay at home, restricted fuel supplies to essential services until July 10 and suggested inter-regional public transport will be halted.

Talks continue with the IMF over a $3bn bailout plan, while bilateral creditors China and India have been asked to extend emergency funds as envoys are sent to Russia and Qatar cap in hand to source desperately needed fuel supplies.

The Central Bank’s governor has agreed to pay outstanding dues to companies for fuel supplies “with a plan”.

🇺🇸 West Hollywood votes to cut Los Angeles County sheriff funding amid crime wave

"Most of the residents and businesses I have heard from are opposed to cutting the Sheriff’s budget," Meister told Fox News in a statement. "They are outraged that people and organizations from outside our city are dictating to Council how to run our city. The narrative that we can have 'either Sheriff's or social services,' or 'either Sheriff's or unarmed security teams' is false."

Mayor Pro Tem Sepi Shyne amended the budgets to re-allocate funds for sheriff's deputies to the Block by Block program, which staffs unarmed security ambassadors who provide the city with supplemental law enforcement services.

"In my mind, this is an increase of safety services with 60 additional eyes on the street working directly with the residents and the sheriff and code compliance and our social services providers and two fewer deputies this fall," Councilman John D'Amico told Fox News in a statement.

🇧🇷🐆 Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro on twitter:

We showed the world the truth about Brazil, about our government and I am sure that once again the truth will set us free."

🇺🇸 Anon: This man, the truck, and presumably the migrants crossed the mile marker 45 checkpoint on I-35 northbound. There and at all the checkpoints 45 miles from the border, each vehicle is subjected to inspection with multiple devices and canines and even then they did not discover what was happening.

It is impossible to make a land trip from the border strip to the rest of the territory without undergoing an exhaustive review (similar to the one carried out when entering the territory) in order to move forward. No matter the size of the road, there are checkpoints on all of them.

The question then will not depend on the "Federation" as the governor of Texas assures. It doesn't make sense since he himself is spending millions in public resources to reinforce the surveillance of this area, and here are the results.
