🇧🇾 ❌️ 🇺🇦 Belarus to Ukraine: “If you do not want war, there won't be one. But do not provoke us, do not try to intimidate us, do not escalate and things will be as you want. We do not want war and threaten no one. However, we will respond to any challenges and provocations.”
☢️💥❗️🇷🇺 Russian State Media, RIA Novosti on Telegram:

"The Kiev regime has already completed technical preparations for a provocation with a “dirty bomb”:
— Specialists from the Ukrainian enterprise Yuzhmash prepared a dummy missile of the Iskander complex, which is planned to be filled with radioactive material, and then allegedly shot down over the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant by Ukrainian air defense forces and declare the launch of a nuclear charge by the Russian armed forces, a source familiar with the situation told RIA Novosti.

He clarified that the dummy of the Iskander missile was made on the basis of the projectile of the Tochka-U missile system:
— “After the dummy is shot down, the Kiev authorities intend to show the Western and Ukrainian media fragments of the mock-up and electronic elements of the alleged Iskander missile, to convince the Western public of Russia's guilt.""

It is quite hard to hide a ballistic missile trailing over the Ukrainian border. Every missile tracking satellite within reason would be tracking it. They might be saying this in advance, so when nothing happens they can say they prevented it from happening.

🇿🇦🇺🇸🐦📹 — African-American billionaire Elon Musk posted a video of him entering the twitter headquarters with a sink in his hand on his twitter account.

Perhaps a sign that negotiations for the purchase of the social network are going well.

Im getting flooded with tips right now.

Here's a scoop: a man I know who was discharged from the military and harassed by the FBI for being a "neo-Nazi" three years ago was contacted by a warrant officer the other day begging him to reenlist in exchange for $30,000 dollars and a complete wipe of his record. If he took the deal, he was asked to close all of his internet activity down and sign an NDA to not reveal this.

Does the Pentagon and DoD know military recruiters are doing this? What happened to purging white "extremists" from the military? 🤣🤣🤣

Anonymous: I've seen this play out twice in my lifetime. CIG | #commentary

The military goes through periods of expansion and contraction. Towards the end of the Reagan Era they were readying themselves for what was to become post Cold War force reductions. There used to be 300k troops in Germany in the 80s, by the 90s it became common for bases in the US to close down. They figured out the best way to reduce overmanning is to make the job annoying, to shake out those most likely to quit. An entire generation of men waited 40 years for War in Central Europe that never came, so when they came home all these militias popped up. To deal with the militias they pulled the illegal gun trick, sawed off shotguns being an inch too short, etc. When empires lack an outside enemy they get pulled inwards.

We learned just how destabilizing a rapid blow off is after WWI with the Bonus Army and War Plan White.
>War Plan White (also known as Emergency Plan White) was a United States color-coded war plan originally created in 1919 to deal with a domestic uprising in the US. Originally drafted by the War Plans Division of the War Department General Staff (WDGS)[1] it later evolved to become Operation Garden Plot, the general US military plan for civil disturbances and protests. Parts of War Plan White were used to deal with the Bonus Expeditionary Force in 1932.

After WWII their solution was to basically maintain an occupation of Germany, Japan and then the Korean War happened. The War on Terror fulfilled a similar role by dragged people out of retirement. Old, purged officers were invited back. The drawdown of the 90s was over, until it happened again under the Obama Administration. It was shit back in 2012-2013. Obama had the morality police coming around, they destroyed all our units' heritage things. Basically made life hell trying to drive people out, forcing people into early retirement. Started the trend that even minor offenses could doom your career preventing reenlistments. They were purging contracts overseas as well, so like not wearing your badge in the right place would get you fired and sent home.

Basically anytime there is a planned manpower reduction they make life hell, find reasons to purge people, etc. So it's to be expected, it was more a political purge last time but it's the same old cycle. They did not seem to be expecting an actual outside threat this quick so now they are unfucking things like in the 2000s. Basically recruitment called this guy now and said they could make the FBI go away and pay him to rejoin and this will be the case until the next cycle, unless they want another few decades of Cold War 2.0 MIC buildup.
🇨🇱 🇺🇸 Texas Goes Permitless on Guns, and Police Face an Armed Public

Far from an outlier, Texas, with its new law, joined what has been an expanding effort to remove nearly all restrictions on carrying handguns. When Alabama’s “permitless carry” law goes into effect in January, half of the states in the nation, from Maine to Arizona, will not require a license to carry a handgun.

The state-by-state legislative push has coincided with a federal judiciary that has increasingly ruled in favor of carrying guns and against state efforts to regulate them.

But Texas is the most populous state to do away with handgun permit requirements. Five of the nation’s 15 biggest cities are in Texas, making the permitless approach to handguns a new fact of life in urban areas to an extent not seen in other states.

“It seems like now there’s been a tipping point where just everybody is armed,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of Harris County, which includes Houston.

Recent debates over gun laws in Texas have not been limited to handgun licensing. After the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, gun control advocates have pushed to raise the age to purchase an AR-15-style rifle. And after the Supreme Court struck down New York’s restrictive licensing program, a federal court in Texas found that a state law barring adults under 21 from carrying a handgun was unconstitutional. Gov. Greg Abbott has suggested he agreed, even as the Texas Department of Public Safety, which oversees the state police, is appealing.

Rachel Malone, of Gun Owners of America, outlined some of her group’s priorities for the next legislative session.
“I think it would be appropriate to move the age for permitless carry to 18,” she told the committee. “There’s really no reason why a legal adult should not be able to defend themselves.”

🇧🇷🇺🇸 — Brazil denied US request to intervene militarily in Haiti

According to the Miami Herald, citing sources familiar with the matter, the US has so far failed to persuade any its Brazilian allies to intervene militarily as the violence spreading across Haiti.
🇺🇸 🇭🇹 U.S. wants to find a country to lead Haiti military intervention by early November

But as U.S. officials hold out hope for Security Council passage, they are also planning contingencies for a multilateral force that would enter Haiti without formal U.N. authorization. A fact-finding delegation from Canada, which has been holding conversations about the request, is expected to visit Port-au-Prince this week to discuss the crisis.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken also is planning to visit Canada on Thursday and Friday with Assistant Secretary of State Brian A. Nichols, where he will meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly. Haiti is among the topics high on the agenda.

Canada has been speaking to members of the Caribbean community about the request from Haiti’s government — supported by Guterres — for a rapid reaction force to immediately be deployed to help the Haiti National Police. But while Joly and Trudeau have publicly pushed for sanctions against those fueling the violence, they have been mum about whether they would be willing to lead a force, despite their ongoing financial support and training of the Haiti National Police.

🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇭🇹 High-level Canadian delegation visits Haiti as U.S. seeks to convince Canada to lead force

As U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Ottawa Thursday hoping to convince Canada to take the lead in helping Haiti confront criminal gangs blocking the flow of fuel and food from its seaports, Canadian officials announced that they were conducting an assessment mission in the Caribbean country.

Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly said a high-level Canadian delegation is currently in Port-au-Prince to consult with Haitians and others in the international community on how Canada can help restore access to essential goods and services amid escalating gang violence and a deepening humanitarian crisis.

“Canada and the international community are concerned about the violence in Haiti, in particular against women and girls,” Joly said. “Canada will not remain idle while gangs and those who support them terrorize Haiti’s citizens and we will continue to support law-abiding Haitians to put an end to the crisis in their country.”

Earlier this month, Haiti’s interim government launched an international appeal for help and requested the deployment of a specialized armed force to help the police take back control of the ports and access roads from the gangs. The issue is a sensitive one in Haiti, where many Haitians are asking when will help arrive and others are opposed to the idea of foreign troops.

The ROC is reportedly assisting Haiti purchase bullet-proof vests and other protective equipment from Taiwanese manufacturers.

🇷🇺 🇨🇳 ❌️ 🇹🇼 🇺🇸 Putin declares Taiwan is China’s, bashes ‘old woman’ Pelosi’s visit

At a conference on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the island of Taiwan belongs to China and asked “why did that old woman to go to Taiwan,” referencing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island earlier this year. Putin’s remarks come as he has sought closer ties with China and made efforts to change the current Western-dominated geopolitical world order.

Putin spoke at a conference on Thursday hosted by the Valdai Discussion Club, a Russian think tank. As his conference-remarks stretched on into the three-hour mark, Putin said “Taiwan is indubitably an inherent part of the People’s Republic of China and this is the position we’ve always adhered to.”

Putin went on to say “all provocative gestures, such as the visits to Taiwan by the U.S.’s highest dignitaries are seen in Russia as nothing but a provocation.”
