🇺🇸Mike Peinovich on X: "30k in one day. 250k since June 13. For a country 1/4 the population and 1/2 the size of the US. This is what a country that actually wants to do mass deportations looks like. Stephen Miller and his demand to arrest 3k a day, most of whom will never leave is lolz.

You know what country would really do well to deport 250k Afghans? The UK. It's not Palestinians stopping you from doing that Angloids. It's Jews."

🚨THROWBACK THURSDAY: Spy bros – Mossad and Turkish spooks’ dirty decades of deceit

Turkish and Israeli intelligence agents were once buddies, spying on Arabs and Soviets across the Middle East and beyond.

Trident

🔴 In 1958, Israel, Turkiye, and Iran formed a trilateral intelligence network known as Trident, linking Mossad, Turkiye's National Security Service (TNSS, later MIT), and Iran’s SAVAK.

🔴 Their first meeting launched subversion projects targeting Egypt and the USSR, according to Israeli author Yossi Alpher.

🔴 Mossad trained Turkish agents in counterintelligence and technical surveillance, per Israeli intelligence historian Yossi Melman.

🔴 Trident held semiannual meetings where intel chiefs shared information on common enemies: Egypt, Syria, and Iraq.

Currying favor with the West

🔴 The alliance also maintained close ties with the CIA.

🔴 Then-Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion pitched Trident to Washington as a Western bulwark against Soviet influence and Arab nationalism.

🔴 Turkiye recognized Jewish influence in US politics and viewed its relationship with Israel as a conduit to Washington through the Jewish lobby.

Iran drops out, Turkiye and Israel carry on

🔶 Despite Trident’s sophistication, neither it nor the CIA foresaw the 1979 Iranian Revolution that brought an end to the pro-Western regime in Tehran.

🔶 After Tehran’s exit, Turkiye and Israel maintained cooperation, spying on shared adversaries:

➡️Turkiye provided intel on Syria, Iraq, and Iran via US-built listening posts.
➡️ In return, Ankara received Israeli intelligence on Kurdish groups, especially the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

🔶 Turkiye became a key base for Mossad operations against Iran.

🔶 In 1996, Turkish-Israeli ties deepened with a defense pact that included bolstered intel ties, officer exchanges, joint training, port visits, counterterrorism, border security, and defense industry cooperation.

The split under Erdogan

♦️ Relations soured after the 2010 Mavi Marmara incident, when Israeli commandos killed nine Turkish activists bringing aid to Gaza.

♦️ In 2013, the Jerusalem Post reported that Ankara had allegedly leaked the identities of 10 Iranian spies meeting Mossad handlers in Turkiye to Tehran — calling it an “unprecedented act of betrayal.” In April 2012, Tehran announced it exposed a Mossad spy ring in Iran.

How Turkiye's eastward ambitions serve the Atlanticist order

Ankara’s penetration into Eurasia blends neo-Ottoman ideology, Islamic soft power, and NATO-aligned geopolitics in a bid to rival Russia, China, Iran, and India.

🇺🇸🇵🇸🇮🇱 US contractors say their colleagues are firing live ammo as Palestinians seek food in Gaza

American contractors guarding aid distribution sites in Gaza are using live ammunition and stun grenades as hungry Palestinians scramble for food, according to accounts and videos obtained by The Associated Press.

Two U.S. contractors, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity because they were revealing their employers’ internal operations, said they were coming forward because they were disturbed by what they considered dangerous and irresponsible practices. They said the security staff hired were often unqualified, unvetted, heavily armed and seemed to have an open license to do whatever they wished.

They said their colleagues regularly lobbed stun grenades and pepper spray in the direction of the Palestinians. One contractor said bullets were fired in all directions — in the air, into the ground and at times toward the Palestinians, recalling at least one instance where he thought someone had been hit.

Are Tolkien’s dwarves an allegory for the Jews?

More than three decades after publishing “The Hobbit,” Tolkien spoke about the Jewish-dwarvish connection during a BBC interview.

“I didn’t intend it, but when you’ve got these people on your hands, you’ve got to make them different, haven’t you?” said Tolkien during the 1971 interview. “The dwarves of course are quite obviously, wouldn’t you say that in many ways they remind you of the Jews? Their words are Semitic, obviously, constructed to be Semitic. The hobbits are just rustic English people,” he said.

As with the Old Testament’s later Jewish kings, the dwarf kings of Erebor prove to be highly corruptible, not to mention gold-obsessed. Their ceaseless accumulation of wealth – Tolkien makes clear – stoked the resentment of neighbors, and eventually brought on the marauding dragon.

🇨🇳🇪🇺 China tells EU it cannot afford Russian loss in Ukraine war, sources say

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told the European Union’s top diplomat on Wednesday that Beijing cannot afford a Russian loss in Ukraine because it fears the United States would then shift its whole focus to Beijing, according to several people familiar with the exchange.

The comment, to the EU’s Kaja Kallas, would confirm what many in Brussels believe to be Beijing’s position but jar with China’s public utterances. The foreign minstry regularly says China is “not a party” to the war. Some EU officials involved were surprised by the frankness of Wang’s remarks.

Wang is said to have rejected, however, the accusation that China was materially supporting Russia’s war effort, financially or militarily, insisting that if it was doing so, the conflict would have ended long ago.

During a marathon four-hour debate on a wide range of geopolitical and commercial grievances, Wang was said to have given Kallas several “history lessons and lectures”.

Some EU officials felt he was giving her a lesson in realpolitik, part of which focused on Beijing’s belief that Washington will soon turn its full attention eastward, two officials said.

The sources said Wang told Kallas the two-day summit itself could be truncated – in a hint that Beijing is not happy with how the EU is positioning itself ahead of the event.

The bloc is set to blacklist two small Chinese banks for flouting its sanctions on Russia. On this point, Wang repeatedly vowed to retaliate if the lenders are ultimately listed.

More recently, the sides clashed on Chinese restrictions on the export of rare earth elements and magnets, which have caused some European companies to stop manufacturing lines.

The bloc relies almost entirely on Chinese supply, without which it cannot make anything from planes and advanced weapons to cars and refrigerators.

On rare earths, the EU feels it has been unfairly caught in the crossfire of a US-China tech war and there is some surprise that Wang was not more forthcoming with a solution. One source described his position on the matter as “dismissive”.
