21th South African Regional Contest ተካሂዷል። በውድድሩም ከተሰጡት 10 ጥያቄዎች 6 በመመለስ ከአጠቃላይ አፍሪካ የኢትዮጲያ Team የሆኑት Andalus , CodeX ሁለቱም ከአዳማ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ 2ተኛ ና 3ተኛ በመውጣት አጠናቀዋል። Team Zion ከ አክሱም ከነሱ በመቀጠል 4ተኛ ደረጃን ይዞ አጠናቋል። Andalus ከ15 ቀን በፊት በተካሄደው Ethiopian National Contest 1ኛ ደረጃ ይዞ ማጠናቀቁ ይታወሳል። ውድድሩን Team New order of bit ከ South Africa በአንደኝነት ጨርሷል:: በአጠቃላይ እስካሁን በተካሄዱት 20 ውድድሮች ኢትዮጲያ የተሳተፈችው 3 ጊዜ ብቻ ሲሆን ከፍተኛ 7 ተኛ ደረጃን ይዛ ነበር። የዘንድሮው ውጤት በጣም አስደሳችና ውጤታማ እንደነበር የውድድሩ አስተባባሪዎች ከውድድሩ በኋላ በሰጡት አስታየት አስታውቀዋል በመቀጠልም በውድድሩ በመሳተፍ አንዲሁም በማስተባበር እስከመጨረሻው ሰዓት ድረስ አብረዋቸው ለሆኑ ተማሪዎችና አስተዋጾ ላደረጉ የASTU Computer Science and Engineering Department ስታፎች ምስጋናን አቅርበዋል። የአጠቃላይ ውድድሩ አሸናፉ ግንቦት ወር ላይ በሚዘጋጀው የዓለም አቀፍ ውድድር ላይ የሚሳተፍ ይሆናል።
