🧩 Why Google, Uber & You Are Playing the Same Game ?

Ever played a maze trying to reach the exit fast? 🏃‍♂️
Left… right… dead end… back… repeat.
Now imagine that on a map of the whole world 🌍 — that’s Uber & Google Maps.

Every time you request a ride, Uber asks:
“Which driver reaches fastest?”

So what do they use?
👉 The same thing you solve in Competitive Programming:
Shortest Path Algorithms (Graphs).

📌 That “Dijkstra” problem? It decides:
Which driver comes 🚕
Which route you see 🗺
If you arrive in 5 or 25 min 😬

🧠 Reality:
CP isn’t just contests & ranks.
It trains you to solve problems powering real-world systems.

Every CP problem you solve,
you’re quietly training to run the world’s biggest machines ⚙️

Pretty wild, right? 😏

🤖 Why AI Understands Meaning (Not Just Words) ?

You write:
“I went to the bank to withdraw cash.”

AI knows you mean 💰 not a river 🌊.

Why? Because modern AI uses Attention (“Attention Is All You Need”).

Read this 👇
The trophy didn’t fit in the suitcase because it was too big.

You instantly know “it” = the trophy.

AI does the same by understanding how words relate to each other.

Behind the scenes, each word plays a role:
🔍 Query – what am I looking for?
🗝 Key – what do I represent?
📦 Value – what information do I carry?

Words compare, connect, and pull the most relevant meaning.
That’s why Transformers power chatbots, search, translation, and recommendations; AI that understands context, not just words.

If AI learns by paying attention, what’s the next big leap in intelligence? 🤔

Why Netflix Scales Smoothly But Your App Crashes?

Ever notice Netflix never buffers even when millions watch at once? Meanwhile, your beautiful app crashes with 1,000 users. 😔

The difference? Scalability.
Your database is like a waiter 👨‍💼
• 1 friend ordering = waiter handles it instantly
• 100 friends ordering = waiter is still fine
• 10,000 friends ordering = waiter is crying in the corner
So what do Netflix, Amazon Spotify do?

👉 They don't use one waiter. They use thousands.

This is called Horizontal Scaling 📈

Instead of making one server stronger (Vertical Scaling), you spread the load across many servers.

🎯 How it works:

1. Request comes in → Load Balancer (traffic cop)🚦
– "Send this to Server A"
– "Send that to Server B"
– "Send this one to Server C"
Everyone gets served fast.

Pretty eye-opening, right?

What if you could build AI systems for international companies, without leaving Addis?

10 Academy’s Intensive + Tenacious Recruitment Pathway is a selection-driven career launchpad for engineers ready to operate at a global level.

In just 3 months, top performers will:

- Work on real international AI projects
- Design and deploy agentic, autonomous systems
- Learn how modern AI teams actually build products
- Join a high-performance peer network, not a classroom

This program is competitive by design.
We don’t optimize for volume, we optimize for capability.

If you meet the bar and excel, you just don’t “graduate.” You’re hired by Tenacious into a full-time, paid AI engineering role, delivering global work from Addis Ababa.

🔥The "Final Boss" Struggle

Let’s be real for a second... why does one "simple" DSA problem sometimes feel like a final boss fight? 😂

You open a platform, stare at a wall of text, and 2 hours later, your brain feels like mush. We’ve all been there stuck in the "grind" where you’re just memorizing solutions instead of actually getting it.

The struggle is real:

❗️Going on a 3-hour YouTube "side quest" only to end up more lost than when you started. 🌀😵‍💫
❗️Not being able to see what the code is actually doing.
❗️That "burnout" feeling after just two days of practice.

Why do you think this is happening? Is the way we're taught just... broken?

But enough about us, let’s have a "Brain-Melt" check-in.

If you had to describe your brain after a 2-hour DSA session using only 3 emojis, what would they be?

Mine: 🫠 🪵 🔌 (Melted, confused as a log, and unplugged).

Drop yours below! Let’s see who’s currently in 'Infinite Loop' mode. 👇

🔹 2nd Year
Similar to 1st year, but with slightly harder problems. You are expected to be more comfortable with logic and basic algorithms.

Topics: All 1st year topics but more harder (edited here)

Ratings: 800 – 900

🔹 3rd Year
Tests stronger problem-solving skills and algorithmic thinking. Questions require better optimization and understanding of common techniques.
