Well these two are really getting a wingersizing workout. Soon they will be fledging off into the wild blue yonder. For now, everyday they are becoming more confident as they practice and hone their steering and flapping skills while getting some air.

Hi! It is with a heavy heart that I let you know Paula’s brother, Greg, passed away early this morning. Please pray for Paula and her family during this difficult time. You are welcome to leave any words of encouragement, thoughts, or prayers in the comment section. I know our beautiful friend would love to hear from you. I’m sure Paula will send an update when she can. Thank you, friends.

Thank you everyone for your kind prayers for our family. I am waiting at the airport for my flight to LAX. Here are two of my favorite photos of my brother and myself…circa mid 2000’s. I took the photo of him pondering at the beach. He lives in Huntington Beach California. He was an avid surfer. We were like twins born exactly year apart. He’s the baby! Thought I would share. He’s was an amazing and kind soul. He is now with our mother and his late wife. He will be sorely missed.

Dear God, thank You for giving me another day. Thank You for giving me a moment to pause, breathe, and be reminded of Your faithfulness. My mind has been cluttered with worry, my thoughts have been running wild, and it’s hard to focus or feel calm. But I know You’re not asking me to carry this weight by myself. Your word in Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” Thank You for inviting me to come to You, to bring every thought that feels too heavy and lay it down. Help me to stop replaying what’s been difficult and start trusting You with what’s ahead. I don’t want to let fear rule my decisions or anxiety steal my joy. Teach me to take things one step at a time with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I absolutely needed to see this today. When you present it this way it makes so much sense.

I haven’t been on here much lately, but when I have I’ve prayed for the requests posted. As many continue to go through tough times, I thought I’d share this devotional God promoted me to write today. Praying it ministers to someone who needs encouragement!
Storms Will Come
by Gwen Fitch
Scripture Focus
“They were filled with great fear, and said to each other, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?’” —Mark 4:41 AMP
“You know you have genuine faith when common sense tells you to stop believing, but you continue to trust God anyway.”
—Cherie Hill, Be Still (Let Jesus Calm Your Storms)
Reflect:
There are many unknowns and uncertainties we experience in life. But one thing is certain: storms will come.
These “life storms” often appear suddenly and without warning—leaving us shaken and unprepared.
They may come through broken relationships, conflict with loved ones, depression, job loss, death, medical diagnoses, or unexpected tragedy.
We are often thrust into panic, paralysis, or despair. We don’t know how to respond—so we react.
This is what the disciples did in Mark 4.
As they crossed the lake with Jesus, a storm arose.
Waves crashed over the sides, the boat began to fill, and they feared for their lives.
All while Jesus was asleep in the stern.
In fear, they cried out: “Teacher, don’t You care that we’re about to die?”
Jesus calmed the storm and then asked: “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Their response?
“Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (Mark 4:41)
Consider:
Isn’t that how we often respond?
When we face a storm we didn’t expect, we question God’s care and identity.
But God is never surprised by our storm.
He knew it was coming—and still called us to go to the other side.
Why? Maybe the storm is part of His plan.
Truth to Hold:
• God knows which storms will refine us.
• Our faith must be tested to grow.
• God may test us where we feel strongest.
• He will speak peace if we ask.
• He never leads us anywhere He hasn’t planned.
“This incident teaches that faith involves trusting in Jesus’ power and presence, even when circumstances seem dire… faith is not the absence of fear but the choice to trust Jesus despite it.”
—Tim Gombis, Faith Improvised
“His love endures forever.” —Psalm 136
“Nothing… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:38–39
If He died for us while we were still sinners, He will see us through every storm—if we surrender.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love that knows no bounds.
We thank You that even in the midst of life’s storms, You are there with us—guiding and directing our way.
Help us to keep Your perspective and bring that calm peace and assurance that You are leading us to the other side—stronger, deeper, and more surrendered than before.
Amen.

To those who have served and to those families who have lost much, thank you. And I'm sorry.
With God's grace, you helped preserve our Nation for such a time as this. We'll pick up the mantle and with the LORD leading the charge, fight on to preserve America the Beautiful.
