It's not easy. Consistently praying for the same thing every day...faithfully, tearfully, sometimes barely even uttering words, and waking up to nothing changed.
The same surroundings. The same unanswered questions. The same silence that makes you wonder if things will ever look different.
I've been there. Maybe you've been there? Maybe you're still there now.
You keep asking God to open a door, to heal a wound, to bring clarity, to intervene, to make a way.
And yet, the scenery doesn't shift. The job hasn't come through. The diagnosis hasn't changed. The relationship still feels distant. Your heart quietly wonders, How long, O Lord?
And yet, this is where faith is strengthened.
Not in the breakthroughs, but in the barrenness.
Not just when the prayer is answered, but when it's not. Or even when the answer is "no" and you keep showing up anyway.
This is where real trust is formed, not in the visible, but in the unseen (Hebrews 11:1).
It's not weak faith to pray the same prayer day after day. It's persevering faith.
Persevering faith is the kind of faith that Jesus honors in the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8).
It's the kind that doesn't let go, not because the outcome is guaranteed, but because the One we're clinging to is good.
I'm a firm believer that there is something very important happening in the "unchanged." Something deep and unseen, often unnoticed. God is not absent in the waiting; He's active in ways we can't yet perceive.
The stillness isn't punishment.
Sometimes it's actually a form of preparation.
Faith matures not only when God moves mountains, but when He asks us to sit beside them and trust He's still Lord over them.
So, keep praying. Not because repetition will force God's hand, but because it keeps you humble, pliable and walking within His will. Keep returning to Him. Not just tor what He can do, but because of who He is.
The breakthrough may come. Or it may not...at least not how you expected. But you will be changed.
And that's no small miracle. ☕️

Friends, there is going to be a time when we have had enough noise in our lives.
I know it’s hard to see what seems like evil is prevailing without judgment. But I am reminded of Psalm 91: 8
“Only with my eyes I will see the punishment of the wicked.”
That is a promise. But that shouldn’t mean we are to focus on it all the time. Doom scrolling the news, media and conspiracies is simply put, a distraction.
You can be aware, but be wise and guard your heart.
So, if you’re worried about it, and thinking…. “When will the truth come out, when will we see the wrong made right? When are these people going to be held accountable?”
I understand. I get roped into stuff sometimes, but then I think and ask God to place conviction on my heart if I start getting off track. It’s enticing to peek into the trappings of the conspiracies in this world.
Don’t you worry about it. It’s coming! The Lord knows! He certainly does!
Instead lift your head high, redemption is coming.
Focus on what God is calling you to do now, today.
A child of God doesn’t need to know everything that is going on behind closed doors in the world. We already know evil is present. We know things are kept hidden from us. We know things are unfair.
Be the example of the servant that is unflappable in the midst of chaos, uncertainty, and deception. You already know the truth where it counts the most.
Get into God’s Word! There will be a time God may call you to say something or do something at the right time, perhaps for someone who needs to hear the peace of God’s Word especially during these times.
Let us be reminded, we are not of this world. Fill your heart and mind with the things of God and His assignment and purpose for you.
Find a hobby, get outdoors, enjoy your present surroundings of God’s beauty. Be a blessing to others when they are feeling discouraged.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33 ESV
Ask God what is your assignment for today, not tomorrow, but today.
Blessings,
Paula

Testimony Tuesday
Folks, I keep seeing more and more video testimonials surrounding Charlie Kirk’s death and memorial.
I want to emphasize, this is not about Charlie Kirk…he was the catalyst for something greater.
This is about God moving, His Spirit moving through hearts of people who are grieving for a man that made a difference. What we are seeing is really people dying to self. Surrendering to something bigger than themselves. And realizing their need for a Savior. And for lukewarm Christians, to do more for the kingdom of God.
We saw how Charlie Kirk believed in His God.
He knew the risks, and did what he believed God called him to do.
Then…a miracle began. God had the last word.
We praise and worship our Lord God because He alone is worthy.
What a mighty God we serve!
Thank you Jesus!
May we continue to see the Holy Spirit work throughout the whole earth.

The ThinMint channel and the CallToBattle channel are pairing up to present our friends with an idea the LORD placed on our hearts at the same time.
We are designating Mondays as, “Vigilant Monday;” a time to pray and fast for our country.
This will kick-off on Monday, October 6th.
Each Monday Paula and I will take turns sharing what the week’s focus will be. We encourage you to share your prayers, songs, graphics, and encouraging words under the post.
We hope you join us, connecting with others who grieve for, but are hopeful for our country.
“Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I among them.”
Matthew 18:18-20

Lyrics to the above song:
Only a Holy God
CityAlight
Who else commands all the hosts of heaven?
Who else could make every king bow down?
Who else can whisper and darkness trembles?
Only a Holy God
What other beauty demands such praises?
What other splendor outshines the sun?
What other majesty rules with justice?
Only a Holy God
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
What other glory consumes like fire?
What other power can raise the dead?
What other name remains undefeated?
Only a Holy God
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
Who else could rescue me from my failing?
Who else would offer His only Son?
Who else invites me to call Him Father?
Only a Holy God
Only my Holy God
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out, sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
