OBEDIENCE!!!

We need to listen and obey Gods voice!

It is imperative!😮‍💨🤌🏼

When we do, we open ourselves to His healing and care. In this verse in Exodus, God is inviting you into a relationship of care and obedience. It’s not about “following rules”, it’s about listening for His voice and doing what is right!🔥

When we align with HIS heart we can experience healing touch in our situation, struggles or pain. Just as He promised the Israelites, God offers us that same comfort and healing when we are OBEDIENT and are walking in His ways 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Are there areas you feel resistant to obeying His commands? Truly seek Him and pray about it!!

Heavenly Father, we thank you for being the healer who desires to walk with us through it all and our obedience! Help us to listen to YOUR voice Lord, and to embrace the path you lay before each of us and help us to trust in your promises Lord. May we find that comfort and healing when we choose to do what is right and we choose to obey your commands. Fill us with Holy Spirit Fire and Boldness!! LIFE-CHANGING STUFF

I was reading today about a guy 2000 years ago in Mark 5 who was named LEGION. I don’t think his parents gave him that name. A Roman legion under Caesar consisted of 6,826 men of war. This guy had 6,826 voices in his head. Everyone one of us have to turn down the volume of false narratives. It’s easy to identify ourselves by our issues.

A friend of mine was taking an 18-minute Lyft ride. He jovially and curiously asked the driver, “If you had all the money you needed and could do whatever you wanted... what would you do?” Instantly the driver burst into tears and said, “I’d leave the band I’m in and the guy I’m with who treats me rotten and leave town with my little child”. She explained that the boyfriend controlled her life and would not allow her to make more than $1500 a month and she felt trapped because she needed $1800 to break free and start a new life.

He asked her another question, “If I gave you a piece of paper and you were to write down the words that describe the way you see yourself, what would you write?” Immediately she said, “ I’m WORTHLESS and I’m SMALL.” Wow... that was an honest identity answer.
His third question, “If Jesus were to write down a word to describe you, what do you think he would write?” She pondered a moment and said, “PRIZED”. He talked to her about Jesus and who she could be in Jesus.

The ride was almost over. He said, “I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I am going to give you a $300 tip (Why? She said $300 was what was keeping her from starting a new life) and said she would have to trust Jesus and step out in faith every day. They exchanged contact information. She regularly texts him. She got out of Dodge, started a new life and is trusting Jesus.

As I have told others this story some people confide in me (and sometimes our groups) they feel WORTHLESS and SMALL or similar words like FAILURE or STUPID. I am convinced the most important spiritual question is, “Who do you say Jesus is?” But the next most important question is, “Who does Jesus say you are?”

Our ultimate identity in Christ is not based on our circumstances, the economy, whether Caesar is for us or against us, what the Supreme Court says, what others say or don’t say about us, but our identity is 100% anchored in the risen, living, triumphant, victorious person of the Lord Jesus Christ who says in Him we are most cherished sons and daughters of the most High God. Your failures do not define you, God’s forgiveness does. What you do for God does not define you but what God already did for you on a bloodstained cross and empty tomb defines you. The hell you are going through does not define you but the heaven you are going to does.

Wouldn’t it be great today if someone says to a friend, “Celebrate with me because I no longer see myself as WORTHLESS and SMALL!”. We all are at the mercy of our mirrors. The names we call ourselves are the names we become.

There are spiritual strongholds over America that must be torn down. We can only do this with the LORD’s help through praying and fasting.

It’s important we identify the ones in our own life first. In order to rectify the problem in America, we must get to the root of the strongholds that have a foothold in our spiritual life.

What barriers do we have? Thought patterns, habits, fears, lust, addictions, unforgiveness, anger, unbelief, pride, and envy need to be unmoored.

What is preventing growth and freedom? For us? For America?

Like @CallToBattle highlighted last week, we need to start with repentance. Part of that process is asking His Spirit to show us what the strongholds are so we can act against it.

When we’re in spiritual captivity we must acknowledge what has wedged itself between us and the LORD. Then we capture the negative thoughts, rejecting the lies and replacing it with His truth. We need to confess, repent, and lean on His strength because we cannot do this on our own.

We pray specific noscriptures over ourselves, imagining slipping on His armor.

Persistently praying and declaring victory are crucial steps to breaking strongholds.

Addiction
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be dominated by anything. (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Anger
In your anger do not sin; do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. (Ephesians 4:26)

Anxiety
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)

Bitterness
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. (Ephesians 4:31)

Fear
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. (Psalm 56:3)

Hatred
Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life resigning in him. (1 John 3:15)

May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

Jealousy
Lord your word is clear: “For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” (James 3:16)

Obsessive thoughts
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)

Pride
But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ (James 4:6)

Seeking approval from others
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10)

Self-condemnation
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

Shame
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Unbelief
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24)

Unforgiveness
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13)

Unworthy of love
Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:30-31)
