There are spiritual strongholds over America that must be torn down. We can only do this with the LORD’s help through praying and fasting.

It’s important we identify the ones in our own life first. In order to rectify the problem in America, we must get to the root of the strongholds that have a foothold in our spiritual life.

What barriers do we have? Thought patterns, habits, fears, lust, addictions, unforgiveness, anger, unbelief, pride, and envy need to be unmoored.

What is preventing growth and freedom? For us? For America?

Like @CallToBattle highlighted last week, we need to start with repentance. Part of that process is asking His Spirit to show us what the strongholds are so we can act against it.

When we’re in spiritual captivity we must acknowledge what has wedged itself between us and the LORD. Then we capture the negative thoughts, rejecting the lies and replacing it with His truth. We need to confess, repent, and lean on His strength because we cannot do this on our own.

We pray specific noscriptures over ourselves, imagining slipping on His armor.

Persistently praying and declaring victory are crucial steps to breaking strongholds.

Don’t know where to start?

We can pray for courage (Joshua 1:9).

We can pray for faith (Hebrews 11:1).

We can pray for forgiveness (1 John 1:9).

We can pray for gratitude (Thessalonians 5:18).

We can pray for guidance (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We can pray for healing (Psalm 147:3).

We can pray for peace (Philippians 4:7).

We can pray for protection (Psalm 91).

We can pray for renewal of mind (Romans 12:2).

We can pray for wisdom (James 1:5).

Here are some noscriptures to help with your prayers.

Addiction
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be dominated by anything. (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Anger
In your anger do not sin; do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. (Ephesians 4:26)

Anxiety
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)

Bitterness
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. (Ephesians 4:31)

Fear
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. (Psalm 56:3)

Hatred
Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life resigning in him. (1 John 3:15)

May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

Jealousy
Lord your word is clear: “For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” (James 3:16)

Obsessive thoughts
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)

Pride
But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ (James 4:6)

Seeking approval from others
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10)

Self-condemnation
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

Shame
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Unbelief
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24)

Unforgiveness
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13)

Unworthy of love
Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:30-31)

Father God – We need You. We need Your guidance, we need Your wisdom, We need Your forgiveness. We ask for grace and mercy, and a tenderness when dealing with our shortcomings and strongholds.

We ask for You to break the chains of our captivity, in the mighty name of Jesus! Set us free so that we might make Your power and goodness known to those trapped in the darkness.

Shed Your beautiful light into all the corners of our heart so we know what needs to be rejected and rebuked. We ask for Your warmth and love to reside in our heart, drawing us closer to You.

Thank You for giving us Your strength to resist the enemy’s lies. Thank You for loving us through these hardships.

In the name of Jesus, we declare victory over the strongholds in our lives! We claim the power You grant to those who love You and Your ways into our lives.

Thank You for helping us overcome those things that impede our relationship with You. Thank You for working first in our lives so that we may approach Your throne with requests to break the strongholds over America.

We declare victory and satisfaction in America and thank You for redeeming our nation. Give us the wisdom how to turn America towards loving You and Your ways. We ask for prosperity so that we may go forth helping other nations turn to You.

We pray for and expect strongholds to crumble. We pray for and expect a change of hearts so that we are wholly united with You.

To You belongs the glory forever and ever.

In the precious name of Jesus we pray this to You!

When we subtly begin to equate success with visibility, influence, or recognition, we've traded the eternal for the temporary.

When we confuse eternal purpose with worldly platform, we create unnecessary pressure that Christ never placed on us.

When we follow the world's version of success, we start to believe our worth rises and falls with opportunities, open doors, or outcomes.

Yet the gospel insists otherwise: our identity is secured in Christ, not in the shifting tides of earthly affirmation.

This doesn't mean platforms or influence are evil. But they are dangerous when they eclipse or replace a deep, personal relationship with Christ.

Big influence can be a gift, but it must never become the ultimate goal.

Why?

When it's the ultimate goal, it can soon become an idol. We risk finding our worth in what we do rather than finding it in the One we love and serve.

Because, the invitation of Jesus is not "build something impressive," but "abide in Me." Our calling is not defined by metrics of man but by the mission of God: to know Him deeply, to walk with Him daily, and to make Him known faithfully. ☕️

Testimony Tuesday

…“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3-4


It is said that there is a thin veil between little children and God. In other words, little children don’t have the barriers that limit them. As we get older, the outside forces of logic and explanation can limit our belief. But not with children. Their faith is pure, simple and real. Unbelief is not part of their language. They are teachable with a wide-eyed wonder, and are not afraid to express it. They don’t care about what other people think or their opinions. They see and feel His presence so easily, as if it was completely natural and normal. Well if that isn’t true belief I don’t know what is.

This is why Jesus spoke about having child-like faith. It’s to become humble enough to change the way you think and learn about heaven’s kingdom with a child like heart.

This following video is one of many I’ve come across where a child has survived a traumatic event, only to testify of Jesus in the midst to comfort them. Take a look.
