“Lord, call us to battle, that we may proclaim you King of Kings and Lord of Lords!” —Miss Clara from the movie War Room
Download Telegram
In case you are all wondering what an Ebenezer is, (Mentioned in the lyrics of Come Thou Fount...) here is what I found out.

It is from 1 Samuel 7:12
'Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”'

Called its name Ebenezer, saying “Thus far the LORD has helped us”: Samuel knew the nation needed to remember this amazing victory, which came to a humble and repentant Israel. The LORD won this battle, not Israel – so he named the stone Ebenezer, meaning “stone of help.”

We preach often about the three years of Jesus’ ministry, miracles that shook villages, words that pierced hearts, love that overturned empires. But before the three years everyone saw… there were thirty years no one applauded. The Thirty Years Heaven Kept Hidden...

Thirty years of growing, obeying, waiting. Thirty years of quiet mornings and ordinary days. Thirty years of heaven moving silently behind the curtains of human life.

From His birth in Bethlehem’s shadows… to His moment in the Temple at twelve… to His silent return to Nazareth until He was thirty: the Son of God lived in divine obscurity.

No crowds. No followers. No recorded miracles. Just God in human flesh… living a life no one would write about. And those years were not a delay, they were the design.

Because before Jesus ever opened blind eyes, He opened the Scriptures in the silence of His hidden years. Before He ever calmed the storm, He learned to calm His heart in prayer. Before He ever carried the cross, He carried wood in Joseph’s workshop. Before He ever preached the Kingdom, He practiced obedience in the unseen places.

Thirty years of preparation for three years of purpose. Heaven was not in a hurry… and maybe you shouldn’t be either. Maybe that’s where you are right now: in a long, quiet season that feels forgotten. You wonder why nothing is moving, why God seems silent, why your life feels too ordinary for someone He called.

But friend, listen: If Jesus was shaped in hidden years, why do we think our own hidden seasons are meaningless? Maybe the obscurity you hate is the very place God is molding you. Maybe the silence is sharpening your ears to His whisper. Maybe the routine is strengthening muscles you will need later. Maybe the waiting is not punishment… but preparation for an assignment that requires depth, maturity, and surrender. Heaven does not rush those it intends to use greatly. God is not ignoring you. He is molding you.

Every unnoticed prayer, every unseen obedience, every quiet “yes” in a room with no audience, it is building a foundation strong enough to carry the weight of your calling. Jesus waited thirty years. And when the moment finally came, He didn’t have to announce Himself. The Father announced Him.

And He will do the same for you. Stay faithful in the quiet. Stay surrendered in the unseen. Stay obedient in the ordinary.

Because when God brings you out, it will be in His timing, for His glory, and with a strength forged in the hidden years ☕️

My heart lately has been burdened by events and attitudes I see unfolding around me in the United States. We aren’t united. We are divided by political parties and beliefs. It breaks my heart. And I know it does God’s too.

Jesus prayed before His death for all of us: “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” John 17:21

Not only did Jesus pray and die for us to be united, but His prayer was that by us being united, other people, those who are not believers, would be drawn toward God.

Too many of us put our confidence, hope, and salvation in people, institutions, and government.

We are told to pray for our nation to recognize that programs, policies and politicians can only affect our lives temporarily. God is your ultimate savior, only He has the solution for our nation’s problems.

Our country is in the middle of a great battle, and we know that the best way for us to battle is on our knees. And the best source to turn to is not the news or social media, but the very Word of God.

Despite our different denominations and political parties and opinions, we are all united by the power of prayer and the blood of Jesus.
We serve a God who is on His throne no matter who is President or in leadership. We serve a God who doesn’t align with any political party, but rather invites us to align with Him and His heart for us.

We are told in James 5:16 that “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

We may not have the ability to meet the President or other authorities in our government, but we can pray for them, and God can do mighty things through our prayers.

We may not be able to change other people’s hearts or minds with our words, but we have the power to pray for them and see God do miracles in their hearts through our prayers.

This week our focus prayers will be safety/protection and revival for our nation.

Below are samples of prayers to pray for the week.

Prayer of Protection for our Nation, and for National Security

Heavenly Father we lift up the defense of our nation.

We come before You, our refuge and our defender. Lord, You see those who rise against our nation, plotting evil and seeking her downfall.

They want to change our constitution, destroy our freedoms, redefine laws, policies, cheat at the voting polls and restructure our government.

We pray for protection from the arrows of other nations and people that wish to bring down America and what she stands for.

We ask You to protect our nation from any national threat or danger of tyranny foreign or domestic. Place your protection around our borders and give strength to those who defend us.

We ask you to shield our nation. Keep us safe from danger, both seen and hidden. Shine your light on every clandestine scheme that comes against our country and leaders.

Expose and confuse the plots, evil schemes and plans of those who desire to do harm in public places.

Tear down every barrier and prideful power that stands against Your truth, in our churches, public schools and government.

Expose the deceptive media outlets that have harmed the people unknowingly.

We bow before You and honor Your rule over every nation.

We stand in Christ’s authority and bind the spirits that spread lies, lawlessness, and rebellion. We ask You to release truth, righteousness, and a new hunger for revival across our land.

We continue to pray for the banner of truth be proclaimed throughout our land. We are a Christian nation led by God almighty.

We pray for those in authority to govern our country to protect our land and the people.

We ask for great wisdom for our leaders to be aware and expose the threats real and potential of those entities that desire to destroy our culture, beliefs and livelihood, whether it be physical destruction, psychological and spiritual, externally or within.

As a model of freedom and peace for the world to see, we pray that our nation will always remain free. But we must first repent as a nation for slowly allowing the enemy to creep in to destroy us.

Oh Lord, You have set the standard.
For Your word says;
“For the kingdom is the Lord’s, And He rules over the nations.”
Psalms 22:28

Let us first rule over our own hearts. We repent for any complacency, for being ignorant of rogue policies that go against the standards You have set.
We ask for forgiveness for not raising our voices to defend the innocent, or speaking against school boards, city councils for instilling policies that destroy family values that go against Your design.

God, we ask You to bring justice to our land. Help those who face hardship find relief and fairness.

We pray for those who are unjustly imprisoned because they stood for truth. We pray for quick release.

Give leaders the will to act with honesty, integrity and care for the weak.

Let your spirit move us to defend the voiceless and protect those who have no one. As we pray spiritual warfare prayers, use us to show kindness and stand for what is right.

In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Prayer for National Renewal
Father, We ask you to renew our nation. Restore our hearts so we follow Your ways. Open the eyes of those who have been blinded by our corrupt government, and media. And may they see the falsehood of their surrounding and turn to Your truth.

Let there be changes that reflect Your goodness and justice. Fill our communities with hope and truth. Help us to be united and return to values that strengthen our faith.

Help us to stand for what is right when no one else will.

Help us seek Your renewal and protection, guiding our nation back to You.

In Jesus name, amen.

Pulling Down Strongholds and Restoring Righteousness.

God our Deliverer,

We call on you to break the grip of evil in our nation. Tear down every stronghold of immorality and end the shedding of innocent blood. We bind the spirits of violence, hatred, racism, abortion, drugs and human trafficking.

Restore and build a new foundation of truth and family values that honor Your commands within our communities .

Let your light expose every lie and guide us back to what is right.

Equip us with Your Words that strengthens to stand against evil and be the light where there is darkness.

In Jesus name, amen.

Repentance and Revival for the Nation

Most High God,

We confess our nation’s sins and ask for Your mercy. Forgive us for turning to idols, for selfish desires, and for living outside Your will. Heal our land and send a spiritual awakening that draws hearts back to You.

Let revival fill our churches with new hope and purpose. Give your people dreams and visions to help build your Kingdom in this place.

May our hearts keep seeking Your help and trusting You to restore our nation.

May Your truth cause a great revival and fill our land. Let Your Word become the standard by which our nation will stand by.

In Jesus name, amen.

Dear Lord,

We come before You and ask that You set Your rule and purpose in our nation. Break every dark power that stands against Your plans. Let your will shape our land and bring a great harvest of souls.

May this nation shine as a true witness of Christ, sharing Your gospel with the world.

Declaring God’s Rule and Revival Over the Nation

King of Glory,

We proclaim that You alone are God in this land. Take your place as ruler over our nation and every part of our society—our cities, schools, government, families, media, and the arts.

Remove every false system and lie that stands against your truth. Replace them with your justice and wisdom.

Pour out Your Spirit and fulfill Your promise over our nation.

Bring revival so we become a people who honor You and share Your praise everywhere.

We declare Your authority and seek Your renewal for our nation.

In Jesus name, amen.

This speaks of a confusion and fear that properly belong to the wicked, not to the godly and wise. This is both because they are under God’s displeasure and because they lack the strength and courage of the Holy Spirit.

God’s righteous ones stand even when one comes against them, and with God’s strength they are bold as a lion.

Pray with me

Almighty God and Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus…my Savior, my Shield, my soon-coming King. I stand in the authority of Christ, not in my strength, but in the power of the risen Son of God.

Every principality, every power of darkness, every demonic force that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy, I rebuke you in Jesus’ name! The blood of Jesus is against you. The Cross has crushed your claim. The tomb is empty, and the King is alive.

Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords.
He reigns above every throne, every nation, every enemy, and every lie. He has disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

I declare the kingdom of darkness defeated.
I declare confusion to the enemy’s camp. I break every curse, cancel every assignment, and tear down every stronghold in the mighty name of Jesus.

Holy Spirit, fill this place. Fill my heart, my home, and every battlefield I walk upon. Let the fire of God burn away fear, doubt, and despair. Let truth be my sword, righteousness my breastplate, salvation my helmet, and faith my shield.

I am not a victim. I am victorious.
I am not alone. Emmanuel is with me.
I am not afraid. My King rides before me, and His name is Faithful and True.

Lord Jesus, reign over my life. Reign over my mind. Reign over this war. Reign over this day. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

In the matchless, mighty, conquering name of Jesus Christ, I pray!

Amen

Testimony Tuesday

There will be moments when we may feel like giving up sometimes. Perhaps there is something going on in your life that just seems too heavy to carry. Or, maybe it seems like you are so tired of not seeing what you have been praying for.

Whatever it is, God sees. He knows, and He deeply cares. I know, because I’ve been there, then all of a sudden God will show up in an unexpected way through a friend, a random phone call, that may seem like a coincidence.

In fact I recall a situation I was in about eleven years ago when I was house hunting to buy a home. My real estate agent kept showing me houses that were not what I had in mind. She almost seemed disappointed and frustrated in me because I was rejecting everything she showed me. I kept praying for the right home, but nothing was coming up for me.

I got discouraged and wondered if I should even buy a home. One day a friend called me, and I gave her an update on my situation. She suggested I call her friend Shelly who happened to be a real estate agent. I have met Shelly before through this same friend when she owned her own Tea shop here in Sherwood, Oregon back in the 90’s.

Well, wouldn’t you know it, as I was talking on the phone with my friend our call got dropped. I tried redialing but it went to voicemail. I waited a minute or two and then my phone rang and it was my friend calling back. She said; “Paula, you are not going to believe this, but I tried calling you back but when someone else answered… it was Shelly! I briefly told her you were looking to buy a home and was dissatisfied with your current agent. Can you believe it? This was God!”

We were gobsmacked to say the least, or should I say “God smacked?”

Well, long story short, Shelly called me. It was the three of us that went house hunting. We only looked at three homes in the following week. The very last home wasn’t even on the market yet but only to agents. All three of us walked through that last home, we all knew the minute we opened the door this was the one. We hadn’t even gone upstairs yet! The house I am living in today was going to be my home. Surely God had His hand in this venture.

To this day, we could not figure out how Shelley was on the other end of that phone when my friend was trying to call ME back. I remember asking her, “Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly call Shelly instead of me?” She went through her call history…no Shelly, only my name.

There are no coincidences with God.
His plan may require waiting in the midst of discouragement, and yet His timing is always perfect. He cares about all the details in your life.

Hang in there my friends, don’t give up!
God will not fail you.
He will make a way.
Oh how He loves us.

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.”
Psalm 27:13

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37
