Declaring God’s Rule and Revival Over the Nation

King of Glory,

We proclaim that You alone are God in this land. Take your place as ruler over our nation and every part of our society—our cities, schools, government, families, media, and the arts.

Remove every false system and lie that stands against your truth. Replace them with your justice and wisdom.

Pour out Your Spirit and fulfill Your promise over our nation.

Bring revival so we become a people who honor You and share Your praise everywhere.

We declare Your authority and seek Your renewal for our nation.

In Jesus name, amen.

This speaks of a confusion and fear that properly belong to the wicked, not to the godly and wise. This is both because they are under God’s displeasure and because they lack the strength and courage of the Holy Spirit.

God’s righteous ones stand even when one comes against them, and with God’s strength they are bold as a lion.

Pray with me

Almighty God and Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus…my Savior, my Shield, my soon-coming King. I stand in the authority of Christ, not in my strength, but in the power of the risen Son of God.

Every principality, every power of darkness, every demonic force that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy, I rebuke you in Jesus’ name! The blood of Jesus is against you. The Cross has crushed your claim. The tomb is empty, and the King is alive.

Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords.
He reigns above every throne, every nation, every enemy, and every lie. He has disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

I declare the kingdom of darkness defeated.
I declare confusion to the enemy’s camp. I break every curse, cancel every assignment, and tear down every stronghold in the mighty name of Jesus.

Holy Spirit, fill this place. Fill my heart, my home, and every battlefield I walk upon. Let the fire of God burn away fear, doubt, and despair. Let truth be my sword, righteousness my breastplate, salvation my helmet, and faith my shield.

I am not a victim. I am victorious.
I am not alone. Emmanuel is with me.
I am not afraid. My King rides before me, and His name is Faithful and True.

Lord Jesus, reign over my life. Reign over my mind. Reign over this war. Reign over this day. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

In the matchless, mighty, conquering name of Jesus Christ, I pray!

Amen

Testimony Tuesday

There will be moments when we may feel like giving up sometimes. Perhaps there is something going on in your life that just seems too heavy to carry. Or, maybe it seems like you are so tired of not seeing what you have been praying for.

Whatever it is, God sees. He knows, and He deeply cares. I know, because I’ve been there, then all of a sudden God will show up in an unexpected way through a friend, a random phone call, that may seem like a coincidence.

In fact I recall a situation I was in about eleven years ago when I was house hunting to buy a home. My real estate agent kept showing me houses that were not what I had in mind. She almost seemed disappointed and frustrated in me because I was rejecting everything she showed me. I kept praying for the right home, but nothing was coming up for me.

I got discouraged and wondered if I should even buy a home. One day a friend called me, and I gave her an update on my situation. She suggested I call her friend Shelly who happened to be a real estate agent. I have met Shelly before through this same friend when she owned her own Tea shop here in Sherwood, Oregon back in the 90’s.

Well, wouldn’t you know it, as I was talking on the phone with my friend our call got dropped. I tried redialing but it went to voicemail. I waited a minute or two and then my phone rang and it was my friend calling back. She said; “Paula, you are not going to believe this, but I tried calling you back but when someone else answered… it was Shelly! I briefly told her you were looking to buy a home and was dissatisfied with your current agent. Can you believe it? This was God!”

We were gobsmacked to say the least, or should I say “God smacked?”

Well, long story short, Shelly called me. It was the three of us that went house hunting. We only looked at three homes in the following week. The very last home wasn’t even on the market yet but only to agents. All three of us walked through that last home, we all knew the minute we opened the door this was the one. We hadn’t even gone upstairs yet! The house I am living in today was going to be my home. Surely God had His hand in this venture.

To this day, we could not figure out how Shelley was on the other end of that phone when my friend was trying to call ME back. I remember asking her, “Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly call Shelly instead of me?” She went through her call history…no Shelly, only my name.

There are no coincidences with God.
His plan may require waiting in the midst of discouragement, and yet His timing is always perfect. He cares about all the details in your life.

Hang in there my friends, don’t give up!
God will not fail you.
He will make a way.
Oh how He loves us.

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.”
Psalm 27:13

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37

My Yellow Leaf

I watched a yellow leaf struggle to just hang on to an empty branch as the wind blew it fiercely. It just held on for dear life. Inside myself I was cheering it on, rooting for it to just hold on.

I turned my gaze for a second and when I looked back it was gone. I ran to my window and started frantically looking for it. There it lay on the ground by a patio chair.

I felt sad. Did it just give up? Was it just too tired? Could it bear no more? I thought to myself, why am I witnessing this? Why did this little leaf even catch my attention?

Some might think I’m crazy to even be giving a leaf blowing in the wind a thought. Upon sharing what had just happened to a dear friend, she gave me a different point of view. She said, instead of thinking that it gave up or it failed, maybe it realized it had the strength to accept and let go, to trust and surrender.

Maybe it realized Who would catch its fall, could be trusted. That shook me to my core.

What am I holding onto so tightly? What stresses are tossing me too and fro? What do I need to surrender and let go of? Whom can I trust to catch me when I fall?

I am not defeated, I have the strength of God to accept the change He is calling me to. After all, I did go and retrieve my little yellow leaf. It’s bravery to know when to let go and let God will forever be my treasure.

It will serve as a reminder that God is always there to guide me. Even if He has to use a little yellow leaf to remind me.

The focus of this week is: The Economy.

What instantly springs to mind is piles of cash, stock market charts, and retail merchandise.

I’d like to go a little beyond that. As Believers we do not measure what is valuable the way the world does.

Children and family is immeasurable.

We note the value of hard work, a steady paycheck, and a place to call home.

We recognize that a fruitful land, excellent weather, stable commerce, and sound money are in God’s hands. We want our nation to be spiritually under His leadership.

Our servant’s heart, walking in closeness with and obedience to the LORD allows us to pray for these things —because we want our country to thrive under His leadership!

Psalm 33:12 (“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance”) and Psalm 144:15 (“Blessed are the people of whom this is so; blessed are the people whose God is the LORD”) show us the connection between choosing God as Leader and a nation being blessed.

We read about Israel’s prosperity when the nation remained faithful to the LORD; and we read about their hardships when they turned from Him.

Their example shows us something easily overlooked by those who do not understand the LORD.

We don’t follow God to experience prosperity; we love God and His ways, and that is the blessing.

It is worthy and wonderful to want to be under that Blessing.

We pray for this closeness!

He protects and provides for those who adore Him.

Above all we must understand that true prosperity is found in a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus, in Whom we find lasting contentment (Philippians 4:11-13).

Heavenly Father - Psalm 144:15 states, "Blessed are the people of whom this is so; blessed are the people whose God is the LORD."

We declare that You are the LORD over this nation. We will not forget the covenant between You and those who traveled here on the Mayflower. You guided them, you guided the Founding Fathers, and we ask for You to guide us now.

We ask for forgiveness and pray for mercy. Spread Your grace across this gorgeous country, secure us from our enemies and place Your protective shield over us.

We pray for discernment navigating all the challenges we face. We pray for courage to understand the justice You must mete out to those who have betrayed us and shunned You.

We delight in Your name, in Your ways, and in Your Son, and we ask for You to lead our nation.

We pray for You to establish godly leaders, giving them wisdom to lead our nation.

We pray for Your blessings so that we may share with others.

We pray for the soil to be healthy and the crops to be fruitful. Show us how to live healthy.

We ask for You to inspire innovation and give us knowledge that will improve lives.

We ask for You to provide the sunshine and rains we need.

We ask for You to bring peace and prosperity to our nation.

With Your help, we want to have solid, equitable commerce and honest trading partners.

With Your help, we want a nation that treasures the unborn and all children, giving them the tools, know-how and opportunities to succeed.

With Your help, prosper farmers, entrepreneurs, and workers so that all may be generous and so that none lack.

We thank You for Your sustaining hand. We thank You for your provision. We thank You for mercy and grace.

We pray to You in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ.

Amen.
