Testimony Tuesday
Today’s theme is;
No one is beyond God’s reach.
I know there are times when we may encounter a situation, event, scenario, or whatever that is, it may seem like it is impossible.
Not for God. In fact He specializes in the impossible.
Like when Moses and the children of Israel were being chased by the Egyptian army especially when they were backed up against the sea. It seemed hopeless didn’t it?
Perhaps you have been praying for a spouse, a wayward child addicted to drugs or grandchild, friend, or relative for a long time. You are starting to let fear and panic set in because it’s only getting worse. You can’t sleep, it’s affecting your personal relationship with others. The list goes on.
Guess what?
God’s power trumps your panic.
God’s faithfulness trumps your fear.
God’s deliverance trumps your desperation.
God’s consistence trumps your control.
I get it. You’ve been praying for a long, long time. I still have prayers on the daily docket, which there is no evidence or a glimmer of any kind of hope at the moment. And yet, I still pray, still believing Gods hears my fervent prayers.
He is orchestrating all the pieces together.
He is softening hearts.
He is breaking chains.
He is opening the iron gates.
He is moving mountains, because of your persistent prayers.
God sees your prayers as faith in action.
This is what pleases God.
You may not see any evidence yet.
You may not feel like anything is happening.
You may think your prayers are not being heard.
And, let’s not forget the situation is completely out of your control. There is nothing you can do personally to change it except to pray.
Therein lies the obedience to continue to pray and believe God is a CAN DO God. Leave it with Him lest you are tormented by the enemy and find yourself ineffective.
You can laugh at the current “Egyptian Army” nipping at your heels.
It’s time to get in that mindset, that NO ONE is beyond God’s reach. There is not one situation where God cannot change or transform someone.
Keep praying for that person.
Stand firm.
Speak life into that situation.
Don’t give up.
God can do the impossible.
Finally, be at peace and watch the “salvation of the Lord” before your eyes.
“And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.”
Exodus 14:13

Here is the full powerful interview of Neeza on the Lila Rose podcast. My take on this video is the fact that this is the first time I’ve ever heard about someone not hearing or knowing what the Gospel is. We assume everyone has heard. This was an eye opening fact for me. I was humbled by it. We need to do better folks.

From Nicole to Neeza to Christ: Breaking Free From a False Identity | E267 Lila Rose Show
Bullied for loving dance and the arts, high-schooler Neeza Powers never fit the mold of a “typical teenage boy.” Mocked and intimidated, he found escape by presenting as female, slipping into his friends’ clothes and even their bathroom, becoming someone…

It’s that time of the year when you are probably looking to buy a new planner thingy. You know the ones you buy for the New Year, and start out of the gate filling in all the boxes with “to do’s” and appointments, but then forget to use them if you’re anything like me.
Last year in January, a sweet prayer warrior who follows this channel gave me this planner. I already had one so I thought “What can I do with this one?” And then I had an idea!💡
I decided to write a different noscripture each day of the month, and then at the end of the month, I read through all the verses I wrote.
I plan to continue this habit for next year’s planner.
You’re welcome!

This week’s focus will be on our nation’s election process and voting.
It is a privilege to vote and yet, often we Americans having taken this for granted—especially in the last few decades.
We’ve learned some very hard lessons as a nation and have paid dearly.
One of the biggest myths about politics and religion is that the church should not mix the two, or at least be discussed by our pastors to the congregation. How naive the church has been.
For many of us our eyes have been opened for many years. We’ve have witnessed the corruption in our election process which has most likely been going on much longer than we thought.
We’ve seen the results of what can happen when Christians do not vote.
I would like to share why it is important Christians should be involved in the election process and why it matters…

The Message of Freedom
Scriptures talks extensively about the freedom that we experience in Christ. We were once enslaved to our sins, but we are now children of God. Many people around the world do not get to have a say in the way their countries are run. But the government our ancestors established has a different set up.
The fact that the pilgrims came to America in order to seek freedom to worship God the way that they desired reveals how important freedom was to them.
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
Galatians 5:1
Imagine how different our nation would be if every believer got involved not only in praying over our nation but voting consistently in our elections.
If we say we are believers in Christ and we pray for our nation but don’t take the time to vote, we are still making a choice. Not voting is a form of voting, as it will influence the outcome. We need to take responsibility for our actions, as well as our lack of actions.
Whether we neglect to vote or simply forgot to vote, it is disappointing when we miss out on the moment to voice our beliefs. Christians need to go to the polls more than ever, especially in a culture that does not value Jesus and the Bible.
Our freedom to vote in this country should never be taken for granted. We should desire to have a say in our election process since it will affect the welfare of the nation.
We must remember that we are not seeking salvation through government but through God, and only God. This is why it is important to pray for the welfare of our nation, not just the candidates we vote for but policies that set the standards to run our nation.
“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
Jeremiah 29:7

Submitting to Government
Scripture talks about submitting to those in government.
Romans 3:1 says, “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
Our government invites us to vote. It is encouraged. We all have a role to play in the government by voting. Even if we do not like the people in charge or agree with them, at least we are able to share our opinion at the polls and be at peace that God is in control.
Submitting to our government does not mean our faith is in them. We know that a sinner cannot be our Savior. Jesus was and will be the only Savior of this world. He is the first and the last. He is the beginning and the end. He is sitting at the right hand of God.
It is when we begin to put all of our hope into a politician or a political party that we miss the point of voting as a believer.

Living Out the Fruits of the Spirit
One of the fruits of the is faithfulness. We can ask, “Am I being faithful to my responsibility in my country?” When you know you should act but don’t, that too is a sin. If we pray about it and the Holy Spirit is leading us to vote, then it is disobedient to avoid it.
We want to be faithful and live out of the Holy Spirit’s strength. Yes, it can sometimes be a hassle to go stand in line at the polls. Yes, we might lose some of our free time. However, we are given the opportunity to walk empowered by God’s Spirit in us.

Praying Over Our Election Process
It has been said, if we don’t vote, we don’t have the right to complain if the outcome is not what we expected.
Another aspect of not voting is the fact that people who desire to alter or taint the election process do so because it is easier to get away with it. In other words, the system can be altered easily without investigation if half the country doesn’t vote. They simply overwhelm the system without it being challenged. We need to remember our voting process integrity is only as good as the honesty of those who are running those systems and authorizing the legitimacy of every ballot.
Over the years we have lost faith in the voting process. We figure they are going to cheat anyway, why vote? Our dubious attitude has compounded our lack of faith in the system. It is no wonder. But what if we prayed over it? What if we changed our attitude? What if we decide, we each can make a difference.
It is our responsibility to pray for our government and expect them to work for the people. If we are to have fair elections, we must be involved in the process so our voices can be heard. Most importantly, we must pray over the process and seek God’s favor for our nation.
Our prayers before the election allow us to place the outcome in God’s capable hands, asking for His will to be done and for leaders who will act with integrity and wisdom. We seek His protection over the nation and His peace to rule in every heart and mind. No matter the outcome, we trust that God’s plans are for good and that He will guide us through every season.

Prayer Before Election
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6)
Heavenly Father,
As we prepare for the upcoming election, I place my trust in You and seek Your guidance.
I pray for wisdom, peace, and unity to cover our nation and its leaders.
Grant voters clarity and discernment, and may Your will be done through this election.
I ask that our election process be fair, where every vote is validated properly. Expose any nefarious complex system that desires to change or alter the votes in an unfair advantage.
Protect our country and let Your peace guard our hearts and minds.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Lord,
I place before you the elections taking place and humbly ask you to intervene on behalf of your people.
I ask you to disarm evil and silence the voice of deception.
I ask you to move hearts and minds, even those who do not know you, to vote according to your precepts.
I ask you to raise up leaders who seek to honor you as they govern. and I ask you to bring the people of our nation to a place of humility and submission to your Lordship.
In Jesus’ holy name,
Amen.
