People being like "you can't mess with the hardware on your motherboard" you can't install this incompatible piece of hardware" like please shut the fuck up motherboards aren't some cryptic ancient forbidden technology they are a collection of ICs that have mostly public protocols describing how to work with eachother and on top of that can be configured through custom BIOSes and edited After all there's only a few companies that make types of motherboards for manufacturers like asus or asrock BIOSes are mostly written in assembly and C and there are whole forums dedicated to modding them most modern motherboards come with backup bios recovery options in case flashing the BIOS goes wrong and guess what it isn't even BIOS anymore it's UEFI which is extremely documented and similar between all the different motherboard manufacturers
