Just learned people see Laika the space dog as a river styx of space that guides astronauts and animals that die in space to their destination and for some reason that made me tear up

The story as a whole of laika and hearing about it just now genuinely made me so unbelievably sad but upon learning that it’s a strange comfort to cap it all off. Poor fuckin dog…
