She's going back the the vet again

want to know something really sickening? all the times cookie came upstairs past the barrier to scratch on my door in the middle of the night to just randomly give me attention and when i put her back down stairs she screams like a banshee, she was probably in pain from her undiagnosed diabetes. we wouldntve brought her to the vet because the vet is extremely expensive anyways, but nevertheless the pain she mustve gone through is insane and now that she is being treated and has damage to her pancreas and liver it will be a harder life for her. what the fuck

she was so dehydrated when they first brought her in the vet said they had a 50/50 chance of survival. cookies bloodwork was beyond horrifying she is getting better now although she still wont eat currently even when she is on appetite stimulants. thankfully she will drink water although we dont know if her body is absorbing it so we have to hook her up to an IV with saline every 12 hours and inject insulin daily

she is "okay" currently but is still somewhat lethargic and wont eat and is on multiple medications thankfully she is a little pudgy so she is okay if she doesnt eat for up to a week (despite us trying to feed her twice every day if not more) if she still doesnt eat idk wtf were gonna do

im very lucky that my mom has a small company or we wouldve had to put cookie down due to the cost
