Aloe vera is probably the plant we should all have in our gardens or homes.
It is not hard to grow at all. It barely needs water and can do well as an indoor or outdoor plant. The most common uses are for the skin, it helps with the healing of wounds, burns, and scars. What not everyone might know is that it can be prepared in a tea or just a spoonful with honey for other ailments. Aloe vera is especially good for a sore throat or a cold and can be taken without restrictions like other herbs/plants.
Some main ideas from a conference on fraternal charity by Father Pablo Bianchetti.
If one loves God, he must love what God loves and in the same way He does.
God loves sinners and saints, but not on the same way; God loves the saint for all the good qualities he has (that come from God); the sinner is not loved by God for what he is (since there's no sanctifying Grace), but by what He wants the sinner to be, He loves the sinner so the sinner can be good. Therefore we have to love saints and sinners, the same way God loves them.

When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer.

7 October 1571: The Holy League of southern European nations destroys the Ottoman fleet off of Western Greece at the Battle of Lepanto. Considered by many to have been one of the most important naval battles in human history, this battle saved the West from defeat by the Ottoman Turks.
In the encounter, which lasted about five hours, more than 30,000 Muslim Turks and 8,000 Christians were slain. It was also remarkable as the last and greatest engagement with oar-propelled vessels.
Book recommendation on the Battle of Lepanto for homeschoolers: The Blood Red Crescent by Henry Garnett. An exciting story particularly for young boys who dream of heroism. They can live the battle of Lepanto through the eyes of a lad, next to Don Juan of Austria

A recipe for meatless Fridays:

Margherita pizza:

-300g of 0000 flour
-½ teaspoon of yeast
-¾ teaspoon of salt
-1 teaspoon of sugar
-1 tablespoon of olive oil (any oil would do actually)
-200 ml of water.

Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the spoonful of oil and then slowly incorporate the water. Start mixing together until you have a dough. Let it rise for two hours.
After the two hours have passed, using a rolling pin or your hands, fit to your tray of choice. Cook for 5-10 minutes in high heat (the highest the better) then add tomato sauce with chopped garlic. Once the sauce is added, you can put the toppings on. My favorite ones are champignon, olives, hard boiled egg. After the toppings are added it's time to put the mozzarella on top. Do so to your taste and put back in the oven for 5- 10 minutes.

Since yesterday was the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, it's fitting to share this very valuable book, since we're called by Our Lady to pray the Rosary daily.
Today's the Feast of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin
Happy feast of Our Lady of the Pillar. The apparition is dated to 40 A.D, when Our Lady hadn't yet been assumpted into Heaven.
