So you know about that whole banning TIKTOK thing in the U.S?

They can ban basically any app that have over 1 million users with practically no warning.

Oh, and if you use these communication apps anyways you can receive a $1,000,000 fine, 20 years in prison and forfeiture of everything you own.

Also using something like a VPN is covered in this bill, making it felonious and punishable by prison and/or 250,000 dollar fine. Even telling someone how to use a VPN if the VPN will be used for accessing contraband technology.



You may be thinking, this is fine because it doesn't affect signal/matrix/session/telegram but I see no reason why they wouldn't apply this to privacy focused communication platforms because the US gov can't spy on you.
