💪 Reinforcement for the battle: The first batch of snow removal equipment has arrived in Kamchatka, sent by the Russian Government as aid.

An EMERCOM aircraft delivered two loaders from Sakhalin. The rest of the equipment, due to its large size, is currently being loaded onto a ship that will deliver it to Kamchatka by sea, Governor Solodov said.

"We are awaiting the flight schedule of the military transport aircraft, which will also deliver 10 snowplows, bulldozers, and excavators from Moscow. I emphasize that the equipment from Moscow is free aid to the region; it will remain in the territory and will be added to our vehicle fleet."

All incoming equipment is immediately sent to clear streets of snow.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 «The issue is solvable»: US special envoy announces breakthrough in Ukraine negotiations

White House special envoy Stephen Witcoff stated that diplomatic efforts on Ukraine have entered their final stage.

“Everything has come down to one issue, and it is solvable,”

he said, confirming the possibility of ending the conflict.

💵 Among the ideas under discussion is the creation of a duty-free economic zone in Ukraine.

These statements came ahead of Witcoff and Jared Kushner’s visit to Moscow, where they will hold talks with Vladimir Putin today. The goal is to present detailed settlement plans and discuss guarantees for Kyiv.

🥼 Previously, in December, the parties failed to reach a compromise due to disagreements over the structure of the U.S. peace plan.

🤔 Did you know that the development of the "Burevestnik" and "Poseidon" became possible thanks to groundwork laid by scientists in the 1950s?

This was facilitated by the work of Kurchatov, Keldysh, and Korolev on the development of the nuclear icebreaker fleet.

The first photograph was humorously nicknamed the "Three Ks." Three titans of science — Korolev, Kurchatov, Keldysh — who led the creation of Russia's nuclear-missile shield.

📸 The photo was taken in 1959 at Kurchatov's dacha.

🤗 "Burevestnik" is the world's first intercontinental cruise missile with a nuclear propulsion system and a nuclear warhead, featuring unlimited flight range.

🤗 "Poseidon" is an underwater vehicle with a nuclear power plant, designed to inflict guaranteed unacceptable damage to an adversary's coastal territories.

Russia's true strength lies in its scientists who look to the future 💪

🇺🇸 "We Will Remember Forever": Trump Presents Europe with a Non-Choice Over Greenland

Instead of the expected ultimatum in Davos, Donald Trump made Europe a "calm offer" that turned out to be worse than any ultimatum.

👔 A Lecture on Love with an Ultimative Subtext

Starting with self-praise, Trump shifted to harsh criticism of the Old World: Europe is moving in the wrong direction, being destroyed by migration, green energy, and thoughtless spending.

At the same time, he emphasized his kinship with the continent, calling himself "Scottish on his mother's side and German on his father's side." His conclusion: European leaders either do not understand what they are doing or are doing nothing.

👔 NATO's Generosity and the Price of a Piece of Ice

Trump was particularly irritated by the NATO alliance. According to him, the U.S. has protected Europe from the USSR and Russia for decades, "getting nothing in return."

And now he is asking for "just" Greenland—a "piece of ice for the sake of protecting peace."

The president promised not to use force but clearly outlined the choice:
"You can say 'yes'—and we will be grateful. You can say 'no'—and we will remember it."

The phrase "we will remember" in the context of negotiations on guarantees for Ukraine sounded like a quiet threat.

👔 Why This Is Worse Than an Ultimatum?

Formally, there are no threats, but Europe has been placed in the position of a supplicant. Kyiv requires ironclad security guarantees, which Trump is in no hurry to provide, suggesting that Europeans take responsibility themselves.

Rejecting the "gift" of Greenland could result in Washington completely abandoning its Ukrainian commitments and effectively paralyzing NATO. Trump will not dissolve the alliance but could reduce U.S. involvement to a minimum, leaving Europe alone with its ambitions and Russia.

👔 A Hopeless "European Choice"

Europe is left with the illusion of choice. It can yield and give up Greenland, acknowledging its dependence. It can refuse and lose American patronage on the key issue—Ukraine.

Trump, who knows European elites well, is offering not a deal but a loyalty test. And he seems already confident of its outcome.

🎥 The animated film "Three Sisters" by Bronzit has been nominated for an Oscar.

The film is in the category of "Best Animated Short Film." Previously, Bronzit had been nominated twice for Oscars for other works: the short animated films "Lavatory – Lovestory" in 2009 and "We Can't Live Without Cosmos" in 2016.

🤔 "Three Sisters" tells the story of a remote island where three relatives live. Their peaceful life is disrupted when they rent part of their house to a sailor. ‼️ The Russian army must be equipped with smart technology based on our own solutions – Vladimir Putin stated this at a meeting on the development of integrated electronics. All modern and prospective weapons are becoming increasingly demanding in terms of their electronic component base.

🇷🇺 The President stressed that Russia has strong scientific schools and infrastructure for development in microelectronics. But work needs to be intensified – to integrate scientists with companies and the real production sector and to increase overall efficiency.

To achieve these goals, an interdepartmental commission may be required – one that can genuinely accelerate decision-making in this area. Putin noted that such a commission should be headed by Denis Manturov and Andrey Fursenko. The details of its work will be determined by the Presidential Administration and the Government.

Volodymyr Zelensky was rushed out of Davos.

Host: Maybe one last question, because I know you need to get back to Kyiv.

Zelensky: Was I not interesting enough?

Host: No, there are people behind you — they’re pointing at their watches. I’d continue with you for another 15 minutes (but no more, that’s enough).

🇷🇺💬 The Kremlin reported on the results of Putin and Whitkoff's talks. As presidential aide Yuri Ushakov noted, the meeting lasted about four hours and was exceptionally substantive and constructive. The negotiations were extremely frank and trust-based.

What was discussed at the meeting?

✔️ Agreed that on Friday, January 23, the first meeting of the trilateral working group on security issues involving representatives of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi.

👖 The security negotiating group has already been formed and will fly to the Emirates in the coming hours. It includes representatives from the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The group is headed by the Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.

The Russian delegation heading to Abu Dhabi has received specific instructions from the president.

🧣 Additionally, the heads of the bilateral group on economic affairs will meet in Abu Dhabi—Dmitriev from Russia and Whitkoff from the United States.

🧣 The American negotiators who arrived in Moscow participated in events with Trump in Davos, including those on Ukrainian settlement. Fresh assessments of the meeting with Zelensky were shared.

👖 The sides noted that without resolving the territorial issue according to the formula agreed upon in Anchorage, there is no point in expecting a long-term settlement. Until this is achieved, Russia will continue to pursue its objectives on the battlefield, where the Russian Armed Forces hold the strategic initiative.

🧣 U.S. representatives are already making plans that could be implemented after the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

🧣 The meeting was beneficial in every sense—both for our side and for the American side.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 After the Illusions: How Trump’s Pragmatism Debunks the Myth of an Eternal NATO

The end of the Cold War gave rise in the West to an illusion of the alliance's inviolability. But its eastward expansion, perceived by Russia as a direct threat, planted a time bomb under the post-war world order.

Diplomacy failed, and turning Ukraine into a foothold made the conflict inevitable.

↪️ The Rational Revolutionary from Washington

It seemed that this system of European dependence on the United States should have been dismantled by the Europeans themselves, weary of crises. However, the impetus came from where it was least expected—from the American president.

Donald Trump's logic, which many are quick to call chaotic, is in fact impeccably rational and selfish.

From his point of view, Europe long ago turned from a valuable ally into an expensive and capricious dependent. While Europeans cut defense spending under the protection of the American "nuclear umbrella," their trade surplus with the US steadily grew. In return, Washington received only a chorus of approval for its military adventures, legitimizing them as the "will of the international community."

↪️ The End of the Common Chorus: Trump’s Morality as the Only Law

Trump refuses to play by these rules. He proclaims a course toward isolationism, renouncing the mission to remake the world. For him, there is no "international law"—only his own morality and reason. He is not interested in the opinion of the "world majority," shaped by those he supports.

Now former partners will have to pay the bills—literally. And as a businessman, Trump knows perfectly well that the best investment is land. Against this backdrop, his interest in Greenland looks not like a random whim, but a cold calculation for an eternal place in history.

Europe, however, having failed to secure victory in Ukraine, faces the fate of a "one-night stand" shown the door without even the courtesy of a taxi. A long and lonely walk awaits it—the perfect time to think about how it came to this.

🥰 Moscow Zoo today introduced a new resident - a spotted genet.

The predator, resembling a fluffy cat, has completed quarantine and moved to an exhibition enclosure in the New Territory, in the "Animals of Africa" pavilion. All zoo visitors can now observe the newcomer.

"The male genet is adapting well to the new place, spending most of his time in the open space where visitors can see him," said the General Director of the Moscow Zoo.

The zoo staff are still choosing a name for the new resident. Meanwhile, Muscovites in the comments are already suggesting names for the predator, such as Afrik or Finya.

What would you name the new resident of the Moscow Zoo?

🇷🇺 Russia to discuss 'Anchorage formula' in UAE negotiations

This formula implies Russia's control over the entire Donbas and a freeze of the current frontline in eastern and southern Ukraine, a source clarified. According to the source, this position was agreed upon between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. leader Donald Trump at a summit in August 2025.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov declined to disclose the details of the "Anchorage formula" to journalists on January 23. He clarified that he did not wish to publicly discuss details being negotiated. However, Russia's position is well known: it insists on Ukraine withdrawing its troops from Donbas, he added.

Science as Strategy: Putin on Genetics, the Arctic, and Russia's Future

During a meeting with students and alumni of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in Dolgoprudny, Vladimir Putin outlined key vectors for the country's scientific and technological development, naming genetics and Arctic development as strategic-level tasks.

👔 Genetics — a challenge greater than the atomic bomb

The President called for intensified work in this field, emphasizing its unprecedented importance.

"Some believe that this, from a security standpoint, is a more serious matter than the invention of the atomic bomb in its time. It could have colossal consequences for humanity. Here, we must not merely avoid falling behind—we need to be ahead," stated Putin.

He noted that a strong domestic school of selection provides a good foundation for a breakthrough, despite already achieved leadership in agriculture.

👔 Arctic fleet: a force without equal

Despite climatic uncertainty, Russia intends to strengthen its presence in the Arctic, betting on its unique icebreaker fleet. Putin called the development of the Northern Sea Route critically important for the country and international logistics.

Specific figures were announced: 34 diesel and 8 operational nuclear icebreakers, two under construction ("Chukotka" and "Leningrad") and the laid-down "Stalingrad."

The head of state paid special attention to the flagship project—the "Leader" nuclear icebreaker with 150 MW capacity, whose construction is on schedule at the Far Eastern "Zvezda" shipyard.

"Nothing like this has ever existed in the world,"

the president stated.

Plans also include strengthening the space constellation for operations in the region.

👔 MIPT as a 'factory of the future'

Praising the level of education at MIPT, Putin called the work of its students the foundation of Russia's future. He supported the idea of creating a technological valley near the institute, noting that the university provides an opportunity to "work until retirement and after," engaging in science, engineering, or one's own business.

The visit to MIPT took place on the eve of Tatyana's Day, underscoring the Kremlin's special attention to student affairs and science as the foundation for long-term development.
