𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Chelsea Academy forward Dujuan Richards has joined Championship side Leicester City on loan for the remainder of the season. 🤝

Richards signed for the Blues in the summer of 2023 but officially joined the following January after turning 18 years old. He featured regularly for the Under-21s during the second half of that season, scoring seven goals in 10 games.

Having been sidelined during the following campaign, the Jamaica international returned to action with our Under-21s this term and will now continue his development with the Foxes.

Good luck, whisper9! 💪

🗣️ Liam Rosenior on Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat against Arsenal [A] [4-2 on aggregate] in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg:

🤝 “I felt that the psychological aspect of the tie was very important. 60 minutes, I sub on Cole [Palmer] and Estevao and the game opens up and we have moments in and around the box. I think there was a feeling in the stadium that this tie could turn.

“We didn’t achieve what we wanted to, but it’s not about game plans, it’s about results. I have to give our players so much credit for what they put into the game and ultimately their goal comes when we’re just throwing the kitchen sink at the game. That’s going to happen, but we have to make sure that we take the positives from that, but we’re here to get results.

“Every time we lose, I’m not happy but there are aspects of our game today that I’m very happy with.

“We believed we could come here and turn it around. In terms of the control and domination we had in the second half, there were moments in the second half I thought it was there for us. We just didn’t take it.

“There’s a lot of encouraging signs. Now I need to see what we look like after a setback. We need to react positively. We have a difficult game away in Wolves on Saturday and I need to see what our reaction is to that.”

👏 On Estêvão and Cole Palmer:

“Estevao, I have to say, for him at 18 years old to go through something very personal for him, to fly to Brazil and to fly back in two days, to make sure he could play in this game, that says everything about the character and spirit I want for this team.

“And Cole gave us an incredible 90-minute performance at the weekend when we fought back against West Ham. He’s a gem, we have to take care of him and make sure he’s ready for the whole of the season. But when he came on, his moments were top.”

🏥 On Pedro Neto and Reece James, who missed the game:

“Pedro and Reece have small knocks. They were just in too much pain for tonight.

“The availability of your players always affects your system.

“You take all of these things into account to give yourselves the best chance to try to win a game of football.”

🗣️ Official statement from the FA Spokesperson:

“Chelsea FC and West Ham United FC have been charged following their Premier League fixture on Saturday, 31 January.

“It’s alleged that Chelsea FC failed to ensure its players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 95th minute.

“West Ham United FC allegedly failed to ensure that its players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way at that same time.

“Both clubs have until Friday, 6 February, to provide their respective responses.”

🗣️ Liam Rosenior ahead of Wolves [A] in the Premier League:

🏥 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬:

“Yes, they [Cole Palmer and Estevao] are both fit to play this weekend.

“With regards to Reece [James] and Pedro [Neto] for this weekend, we don’t know yet. We will see on those two over the next day or so.

“We had training today, yesterday was a recovery day for those that played in a really tough, physical game [against Arsenal] on Tuesday. We have another session tomorrow, so we’ll check them then and make a decision [for Wolves].

“With Jamie Gittens, unfortunately it’s looking a little more long-term for him. He’s got a tear in his hamstring which is a real shame for him and he will be a big miss for us.

“I’ve not had the chance to work with him for long but I know about his career and what an outstanding player he is, so it’s a big loss. It’s too early to say how long he will be out for right now.”

🐺 𝐎𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

“We prepare in exactly the same way we prepare for any game that we play.

“They [Wolves] put in a very good performance against Bournemouth. They were unfortunate not to get anything out of the game. I thought they played very, very well. They put in some very positive performances in their last few games.

“The biggest thing for me, as the manager now with this group, I want to see a consistency in our levels of performance, of engagement, of intensity in every game that we play. For me, that's something I've spoken to the group about.

“The next game is the most important game and Wolves is another huge game for our season.”

@Liverpool_Always must pay an initial fee worth £2.8 million — which could rise by a further £4m once performance-related contingencies have been met — for the signing of Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea.

Those add-ons relate to senior appearances, contracts and Ngumoha, 17, achieving potential honours representing his country.

The Blues will also receive 20 per cent of the profit if he is sold.

Ngumoha moved to Anfield as a 16-year-old in September 2024 after leaving Chelsea’s academy.

That ennoscriptd the Stamford Bridge club to receive costs for the winger’s training and development, with the amount being decided by a Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC) tribunal.
