This evening, we have received a notification from the Electoral Commission stating that they have rejected our application for 3 minor issues. Their website claims they made the decision on the 10th August, but we have only been informed tonight via email at 17:06.

These 3 minor issues could have been clarified & resolved at any point during their 4 stage process, but they have chosen to only raise them after making their final decision. This is despite our Chairman, Kenny Smith, speaking to them less than two weeks ago, and asking if there was anything that needed clarification.

We will give you more details in the next couple of days, and we will of course be challenging this decision and will resubmit a fresh application within the time limits, so as to not incur any further costs.

Our community politics efforts are unaffected by this decision. As you know, we already have 4 members who are councillors and there are others in the pipeline.

The Homeland Party got headlines in the biggest selling Scottish tabloid, the Daily Record today.

In their typically underhanded manner, they emailed our enquiries team at 7.30pm and published at 4.30am before our team had had a chance to even view the email.

Still, we’re not complaining because the main jist of the ‘exposé’ is news we have already published ourselves. We are grateful for their help in spreading the word though and positive enquiries have already been received as a result this morning.

We are delighted to announce that we are now a registered political party. This milestone means that we are now able to stand candidates at elections under our Party’s name and are in a position to contest seats at a local authority level; clearing out the old parties and providing real representation for our people.

In just 9 months, we already have many parish & community councillors up and down the country, who are helping our communities locally and showing them the merits of Nationalism - the most natural form of politics.

We are influencing politics at a national level too; we are proud to be the first party in the country to call for a binding #ImmigrationReferendum, an idea that is gaining traction across Europe, and are calling out the old parties' hypocrisy during elections.
