NHC has completed its post-analysis and Tropical Cyclone Report for Tropical Storm #Chantal (July 4-7, 2025). Chantal was the only tropical cyclone to make landfall in the United States last year, moving inland over northeastern SC. Chantal was responsible for 6 direct fatalities in NC, mostly from freshwater flooding.
