The Treasury indicated that they are going to do an interest cut.
The Japanese yen is edging towards a move back to 120 yen to the dollar.

All these factors combined probably have given Buffet a picture of a short term negative market outlook for America.

If Kamala wins (she wont), Buffet would also be on the hook for the new unrealized gain taxes.

This billion dollar selloff is likely his way of hedging against a potential recession/depression while also being required to pay a huge amount in unrealized gains taxes.

I'm no financial analyst, but I am good at detecting patterns.

Is Kamala going to also propose an unrealized capital losses rebate next?

Ive been examining Kamala's FEC filings.
What I found is very interesting.

Kamala's campaign committee number is C00703975.

What first caught my eye is that her Presidential campaign's FEC filings go back to 2019.
Didnt she just start running in 2024?
Just a few weeks ago?

If we examine closer, we can open up her F1N filing to see how the campaign started up.

The F1N is the FEC Statement of Organization.
For a presidential campaign, the candidate needs to authorize the campaign and the candidate who authorized the committee must have their name in the committee's noscript.

We know that Kamala did run a campaign in 2020, so it is reasonable to think that she had setup her committee back then and is continuing to use it to run in 2024.

However, if you look at the F1N filing for "Harris for President" [C00703975], the F1N indicates that it was authorized by Joe Biden.

The FEC rules for the F1N filing state that the candidate who authorized the committee, #C00703975 in this case, MUST have their name in the noscript of the committee.
How did Joe Biden's authorized campaign committee become "Harris for President"?

On July 20, 2024, the "Biden For President", campaign committee C00703975 filed an FEC FORM 3P, which is a report of how much money the campaign received and how much the campaign spent.
Biden's campaign committee reported $95,946,483.13 cash on hand in the report.

Joe Biden suspended his presidential campaign the next day on July 21, 2024.

On July 21, the "Biden for President" campaign committee which was authorized by Joe Biden became the "Harris for President" campaign committee which was authorized by Joe Biden.
The sloppy takeover of the campaign committee was done using an F1A amendment.
The person who filed the amendment forgot to change Joe Biden's email address to Kamala's.

About two weeks later, she filed another F1A and changed Biden's email address to her own email address, thus successfully taking command of Biden's 95 million dollars cash on hand.

Now I understand that as AG of California, Harris essentially legalized petty theft.
Theft of 95 million dollars is no joke though.
Thats some serious white collar crime.

Whats most interesting to me though is that according to the FEC rules, her campaign is illegitimate since is is clear that the candidate who authorized the committee, Joe Biden in this case, MUST have his name included in the campaign's name.

"HARRIS FOR PRESIDENT" does not have the name "Joe Biden" in it in any way.

Im not sure if you guys remember or not, but I ran a campaign some years ago and spent a lot of time on the phone with representatives of the FEC asking about different regulations.
They are very nice folk and extremely helpful, but come down quick on you if they find any inkling of malfeasance.

So what can we do?
Is there anything actionable that can be done?
Well, the FEC happens to be very receptive to complaints.

If your complaint includes all the facts that I just put into this Telegram feed, then the FEC will spring into action and demand Harris respond to how/why she has authority over Joe Biden's campaign committee.

If the FEC decides she doesn't have authority, then all the money she has raised will be locked up and her campaign will have difficulty raising more money from there.

Since Kamala essentially stole Joe Biden's campaign committee, the FEC has a slam dunk case to shut it down.
The issue here is that the FEC wont likely do much unless people are reporting this issue to them.
Their complaint rules manual has 24 pages and is difficult enough to understand that most people will be turned away or not follow the directions closely enough to get the FEC moving.

I know how to file the complaints though, and will have mine drafted tonight and filed tomorrow according to the rules.

If you are able to, you should also draft one. The more people writing complaints about it, the more likely the FEC will do something.

The FEC does need to address this issue, and address it sooner than later.

By not fixing this campaign committee issue, the FEC is essentially legalizing the willy-nilly transfer of campaign committees.

When Chuck Schumer retires from the Senate, he could just transfer his entire war chest to his daughter Jessica, citing Kamala Harris and Joe Biden as precedent.

When Donald Trump finishes his 2024-2028 presidency, he could then transfer his campaign to his son Eric or Don Jr.

It is simply unfair for the FEC to allow this to stand, as it will create monstrous political legacies beyond what we already see.

If George Bush simply handed his campaign committee to Jeb in 2016, we might have had a JEB! presidency instead of Trump.

Whats to stop a billionaire like Mark Cuban from making "Mark for President", depositing 5 billion dollars into the campaign treasury, then transferring the campaign to AOC?
