one of the worst parts abt being a bookworm as a kid and now having to make yourself open a book is that your parents still remember the you that inhaled book after book like drugs and talk abt you like it. they talk to others like yeah my child reads books all the time and w a tear in your eye you think how this week you barely finished a chapter on one of the 3 books you're (supposed to be) reading rn
