Teachers at EVSC are wearing Black tomorrow. Parents MUST be involved in their children’s education. I see this as a win for students and taxpayers. The Teachers Unions have hijacked Education; there is always an agenda. From the House to the Senate. #childrenfirst

Op-Ed: Revamped HB 1134 is nothing but a wolf in sheep's clothing, fangs and all
Despite cosmetic makeover, HB 1134 remains the greatest threat to student civil rights and free speech to come to legislature this century, the author writes.

‘Divisive concepts’ bill moves forward in the Indiana Senate
House Bill 1134 restricts teaching three ideas that Indiana lawmakers describe as "divisive," a limit that has drawn overwhelming public criticism.
This article quotes an Evansville Teacher in her quest to have our elected officials nullify HB 1134. My opinion: Taxpayers pay for the education of Students. Teacher Unions have infiltrated government and embrace ideologies that do not align with Hoosier values. The child is the focus. https://www.wfyi.org/news/articles/indiana-educators-remain-alert-school-curriculum-bill-evolve

Educators remain on alert as curriculum bill continues to evolve
Legislation that would limit what can be discussed in Indiana classrooms has been watered down yet some teachers still worry restrictive and punitive language could be added back before the Statehouse session ends.

The EVSC is stalling in providing the documents of the ESSER funding. The original request was submitted under the Freedom of Information Act. EVSC is alleging this law, even though Federal Funds are involved, does not apply to the request of these documents. The Indiana public records division has informed the record request be resubmitted sighting the following Indiana Code. If EVSC still does not provide the documents, as prescribed by law, the Indiana agency will intervene. I’m incredibly frustrated with the continual defiance of the EVSC in blocking public records. I have enough information to provide an update via a podcast this weekend. Please know, I’m over the target. https://secure.in.gov/sboa/files/2018-PAC-presentation.pdf
Evansville Diocese School update: A FOIA request should be completed shortly and presented to the Superintendent Hagan to release the documents regarding GEER and Encumber funds received from the Federal Government. These documents will be made available for the community to review.

Effective March 3, 2022. What deal was made with the Legislature? Seriously, the Governor can never create law or infringe upon our Constitutional rights. NEVER. Know thy enemy both foreign and domestic.
This is the State of Indiana agreement between the Department of Education and the State of Indiana to access ESSER funds. These funds are strictly for the public schools, including EVSC. The funds are distributed when the “Protocols” are met. https://oese.ed.gov/files/2021/07/Indiana-ARP-ESSER-State-Plan_Redacted.pdf
