My Guess— this was a plan made by Trump & McCarthy in their Jan 28, 2021 meeting at MarALago.
We got 3 hard right Reps on the Rules Committee, the legislation process changed & a promise to prioritize securing our borders.
Along with a long list of concessions that, according to Gaetz, were ALL MET.
They held the line til all of their demands were met. McCarthy obliged, & got his coveted “noscript”. Everyone should be happy.
They did good.
