In compliance with the provisions of the Indiana Election Code and pursuant to the Rules of the Republican Party of Indiana, adopted by the Indiana Republican State Central Committee, and pursuant to the resolutions of said Committee, a State Convention will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, for the purpose of nominating a candidate for each of the following offices:

• Lieutenant Governor
• Attorney General

All matters pertaining to the holding of the State Convention not provided for by law shall be controlled by the Rules of the Indiana Republican State Central Committee and by such rules as may be adopted by the convention.

The convention will be held at the Indiana Convention Center, located at
100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46225

Warrick County employees receive confidentiality agreements.

The Boonville City Attorney says some Warrick County employees have been asked to sign confidentiality agreements. This is something he says doesn’t make a lot of sense for public employees.

Each of the three Warrick County commissioners is under investigation for misconduct. The Boonville City Attorney says the timing of that makes it a little concerning that some employees were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements.
The documents say that employees can’t share “confidential or proprietary” information to other people either directly or indirectly, without first getting written authorization from “Warrick County Government management.”

The attorney says that he isn’t aware of what “Warrick County Government management” is referring to, and it could mean the Warrick County Commissioners. The document says that breaking the agreement could result in being fired, as well as any civil or criminal penalties.

He says he’s never seen anything like this, especially for a public entity.
