🚨Utah Registered Sex Offender Charged With Producing Child Pornography Of Local 7-Year-Old Girl

🔹Andrew C. Petersen, 32, of West Jordan, was arrested & charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor & 10 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held without bail.
🔹Per police: Images & videos depicting child porn were uploaded via a Google account that was traced to Petersen. Police identified one of the children as a 7-year-old girl from Salt Lake County. Authorities are working to identify other victims. There were allegedly 10 photos of the same victim on Petersen's phone.
🔹Petersen is on the Utah Sex Offender Registry. He pled guilty in 2019 to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, violation of a protective order & possession of a forgery device. He served 405 days in jail & was released Feb. 2020.

🔹Rodney Kent aka “Hott Rodd," aka “Hott,” 50, was convicted at trial of sex trafficking, arising from his forcible coercion of a minor to engage in prostitution.
🔹Kent met the victim in June 2016 on a social networking app. Kent then met the teenage victim in person & took her to his house where he manipulated her into posing for photos.
🔹Kent advertised the girl for sex on Backpage.com over the course of several weeks; during this time he verbally & physically abused the victim, including using cigarettes to burn her. The victim eventually escaped from Kent's house & alerted police.
🔹In April 2018, the Justice Department seized Backpage, which was the Internet’s leading forum for prostitution ads, including ads depicting the prostitution of children.
🔹Kent faces up to life in federal prison.

🚨Florida Man Arrested for Distributing Over $230 Million Worth of Weakened HIV Medication

🔹Lazaro Hernandez, 51, of Miami, was arrested for allegedly distributing more than $230 million in weakened HIV drugs that were dispensed to unsuspecting patients throughout the country.
🔹Per indictment: Hernandez was allegedly part of a nationwide scheme to distribute adulterated & misbranded prenoscription drugs. He acquired large quantities of HIV medication illegally & then created false drug labeling & documentation to make it appear as though these high-priced drugs had been obtained legitimately. These meds were ultimately distributed to pharmacies throughout the U.S. The pharmacies that sold to customers billed the drugs to various health insurers, including Medicare.
🔹Hernandez is charged with conspiracy to deliver into interstate commerce adulterated & misbranded drugs, conspiracy to traffic in medical products with false documentation, conspiracy to commit money laundering & specific money laundering offenses.
🔹If convicted of all counts, Hernandez faces a maximum total penalty of more than 100 years in federal prison.

🚨Georgia: Former Savannah Resident Gets 10+ Years in Prison for Distributing Child Pornography

🔹Luis Carrasquillo, 40, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to distribution of child pornography. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
🔹11/2019: Homeland Security Investigations received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, that images of child sexual exploitation were being shared from a Savannah location. Investigators narrowed the origin of the uploads to Carrasquillo’s apartment. He was arrested in Aug. 2020 after he had moved to San Juan. Investigators determined Carrasquillo shared multiple images depicting sexual abuse of children, some as young as toddlers.
