Florida: A man was taken into custody after he was caught on camera pulling out an inoperable grenade inside a bar in Wilton Manors.

The incident happened Tuesday night at the Corner Pub at 1915 North Andrews Avenue.

A former Marine who was in the bar convinced the man to leave the bar, then took him down outside so officers could take the man into custody.

BREAKING! Sacramento, California: Numerous Arrests Made in Multi-Agency Human Trafficking Operation

During the first two weeks of August, detectives from the Sacramento Police Department’s Trafficking Unit in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Operation Cross Country.

The Sacramento Police Department worked with detectives from the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Sacramento FBI Office on seven independent human trafficking operations that resulted in the following enforcement and outreach: Two felony arrests for human trafficking offenses, five newly-opened human trafficking investigations with arrests pending (including three for juvenile trafficking), two gun arrests, two felony vehicle pursuit arrests, two misdemeanor sex buyer arrests, one narcotics arrest, one felony warrant arrest, one misdemeanor probation violation, and 20 outreach opportunities provided to human trafficking victims.

WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT! The LAPD have released bodycam video from an OIS that took place on July 5th in the Harbor Patrol division.

On July 5, 2022, at around 9:55 a.m., Harbor Patrol Division officers received a call for service of an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon shots fired,” in the 600 block of W. Anaheim Street. The suspect left the location of the initial call for service prior to the officers’ arrival.

Responding officers were in the nearby area of Opp Street and Ronan Avenue when they observed the suspect walking on the sidewalk. The officers gave the suspect verbal commands, however, the suspect refused to comply. The officers followed the suspect and upon contacting the suspect, the officers observed the suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect pointed the handgun at the officers resulting in an Officer-Involved-Shooting.

BREAKING! Fairfax County, Virginia: Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid sent a letter to Fairfax County parents Thursday, notifying them that a counselor at Glasgow Middle School had been previously convicted of solicitation of prostitution from a minor.

In the letter, Reid details how the counselor continued to be employed by the school, despite the conviction. She says the employee has now been fired.

Police in New Zealand are investigating after the remains of two children were found in suitcases that were purchased by a family at an online auction.

At a news conference Thursday, police said they were alerted to the case last week when the suburban south Auckland family reported finding human body parts in suitcases they had bought from a storage facility.

The family is not connected to the children’s deaths and was “understandably distressed” by the discovery, police said.
