For the first time in a long time I can actually say, today in the DPR was a good day. Instead of reporting on Donbass civilians slaughtered by Ukrainian shelling, my day was filled with some optimism, filming Donetsk citizens and Mariupol citizens voting in the referendum (on whether or not to join Russia), also seeing an impressive, massive, newly constructed housing project in Mariupol which includes a kindergarten and a school for over 1000 children.

Oh, and by pure chance, being in Mariupol at the right place, right time, I met the mayor—no, not the runaway mayor cited by western media, the sources of endless propaganda & hoaxes—the actual current mayor, who did not leave his city during the fighting.

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, called for the US to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council.

According to the European official, membership in the Security Council should be automatically suspended if the country "starts an unprovoked and unjustified war."

Michel did not specify whether it was necessary to exclude the United States and the UN Security Council in 1999, when the first American bombs fell on Belgrade, or whether it should have been done in 2003, when the US invasion of Iraq began under the pretext that this country had weapons of mass destruction. Which was never found there.
