UPDATE! Los Angeles: 13-year-old arrested in killing of store clerk hit in head with scooter while trying to stop shoplifters.

In a statement announcing the arrest, the Los Angeles Police Department asked for the public's help in identifying additional suspects in the case.

The name of the boy in custody was not released because he is a minor. Police said the other suspects are one male and two females.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call homicide detectives at (213) 996-4184, or 877-LAPD-247. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.

On Wednesday, CBP officers at the Nogales POE discovered approximately 2,100 fentanyl pills concealed inside tamales in an ice chest. Each tamale contained a baggie of blue pills hidden inside. Acting Los Angeles City Council President Mitch O'Farrell called on fellow councilmembers Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León to resign from their seats and said the Council will not hold a meeting until they do.

O'Farrell officially canceled Friday's scheduled LA City Council meeting at the beginning of the press conference.

"The people's business cannot be conducted until we have these two resignations," O'Farrell said.
