The Chinese airliner that crashed into a mountain in March was put into a near-vertical nosedive by someone in the cockpit.
Records show the China Eastern Airlines flight was cruising at 29,000 feet before suddenly plummeting into the side of a forested mountain. The aircraft left a 65-foot deep crater, leaving parts strewn across a wide area.
The late March crash killed all 132 passengers on the plane, a Boeing 737-800. Investigators uncovered both black boxes on the plane soon after the crash, and they indicate the plane's controls were used to pitch the aircraft into a dive, according to U.S. officials who spoke with the Journal.

In 2014 almost all Ukraine’s army and police stationed in Crimea shifted sides without a shot (and now they fight in the ranks of the Russian army). In 2014 some 87% Ukrainian militaries in Crimea shifted sides; a few remained loyal to Ukraine.
So, there started the army and police reform in Ukraine, carried out under US/UK supervision – it lasted 8 years and produced some results. Some 40% officers in Ukraine’s mainland were fired. Then new officers were trained - selected out of the most committed nationalists.
So, what is now Ukraine’s army and how it functions.
The lower rank: mostly connoscripted peasants, cannon fodder. They are brought to the frontline and left there. Since the Russians fight mostly by artillery, many of them die in trenches without even seeing the Russians.
The middle rank: committed nationalists - the officers of middle rank. They don’t stay at the frontline but command military units from a distance or from fortified underground constructions.
The upper rank: US and British generals who deliver information to the middle rank directly, give orders on relocations, changing positions, advance or retreat.
And, surely, there are also Ukraine’s defense minister, general stuff, and the president but they have just representation function at ceremonies or producing videos to get sympathies.(This link in war time is an extra institution, which only hampers the speed of reaction).
