Damn, I was today years old when I learned 'Jury Nullification" is legal. One of the rights a jury has is to decide they don't want somebody prosecuted for a crime, even if they know beyond a reasonable doubt the person is guilty.

Jurors are usually not told they have this power. I found numerous sources on this. Wikipedia is just one of many that covers the basics on the topic.

I started out doing my search because I wanted to know if a Jury could be in trouble if it knowingly gave a non-guilty verdict, when the defendant was guilty as charged.

Nope, the jury has the sovereign judicial right to render any verdict it wants to.
