🚨 Uzbekistan Citizen Living in New York, Gets 15 Years in Federal Prison for Supporting ISIS🚨
🔹A citizen of Uzbekistan & resident of Brooklyn was sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiring to & attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, ISIS.
🔹Dilkhayot Kasimov, 34, was convicted of both counts following a one-week trial in 2019.
🔹In 2015, Kasimov’s co-conspirators Abdurasul Juraboev & Akhror Saidakhmetov planned to travel to Syria to fight on behalf of ISIS. Kasimov provided $1,600 cash (his own money & from others) to help fund Saidakhmetov’s travel & expenses.
🔹Co-defendants: Juraboev and Saidakahmetov were each sentenced to 15 years in prison. Azizjon Rakhmatov rec'd 12.5 years. Two others are awaiting sentencing & a seventh defendant pled guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to designated foreign terrorist organization. Sentencing is July 5.

In a lawsuit filed on May 23, the family admits Mark Middleton committed suicide, and says they have 'a privacy interest' in preventing any 'photographs, videos, sketches (or) other illustrative content' from the death scene being released.
They claim it would lead to 'outlandish, hurtful, unsupported and offensive articles' being published online.
They argued that keeping the footage and files sealed would halt a proliferation of 'unsubstantiated conspiracy theories'.
A judge is due to hear the case on June 14.
